An Exclusive, FFA Sneak Peak at My Band's Forthcoming Album (1 Viewer)

My band of aging, part-time rockers--called The Hard Stop--recorded an album last summer, and it just got mastered last week. I shared some/all of the tracks via SoundCloud links in the Guitar thread, and the generous and kind feedback made me think I should open up the sneak peek to the entirety of the FFA before its February release. Also, I felt bad about hijacking the thread away from guitar/gear talk.

Anyway, I hope you dig it.

wow - wasn't expecting it! just listened to the first 2 cuts and Love it! Kind of english-60s-ish.

Congrats, this is really good stuff! Gonna listen to the rest later this evening.

Quickly listened to the first two this morning. Cool sound. I'll listen to more this weekend. Thanks for sharing!

I know nothing about marketing something like this, or even what your ambitions are but......

I'd send (or link or whatever the hell it is you kids do these days) copies of the album to two channels on Sirius XM: Underground Garage & The Loft. They probably get bombed with records every day from people looking to break in, but they're also run by people who love music and your sound would fit with either IMO.

Best of luck to ya

eta: The Loft has a small but rabid facebook following. Maybe join there and slip in a link to a song somewhere down the line?

You guys play any gigs in the city?
Possibly a fundraiser at Lincoln Hall in early Feb, and we're trying to plan our Album release party for late February. Then maybe a couple of street fests, etc. in the summer. Everyone in the band works long hours or is married with kids or somewhere in between, so our gigging--hell, even our getting together--is infrequent.

Thanks a lot. Was going to send to Underground Garage but will now absolutely look into The Loft as well (I don't have Sirius XM, so I wasn't familiar). Our ambitions are fairly modest, considering anyone under 30 seems to consider us "Dad Rock."

Going to check this out on Spotify.

Interesting list of "related artists" ranging from One Direction, to Elvis, to The Who, Paul McCartney and Adele.

I didn't realize that. We used TuneCore to distribute to the e-marketplaces, so we never really got a chance at bio/description input. Keep putting off digging into how to do that.
