Map Of Most Hated Teams (1 Viewer)

Major news sites are getting very lazy with their reporting. They at least give credit that this was a reddit user who conducted the survey, but failed to mention the number of participants. When the guy released this, he even said he only got one or two responses from some areas.

Every NFC North team hates the Packers for having back to back bad ### QBs continually keeping them contenders to win the division.

Would have probably looked different through the 70s and 80s when the Packers sucked.

I would think everyone outside fans would hate the hawks. especially with that obnoxious ##### Sherman everywhere you look.

Texas hates the Cowboys?
There are two big reasons to hate an NFL team: 1. Because they win Super Bowls, and 2. Because they don't

The Cowboys would fall into that second category.

However, I lived in Texas for a few years and I would still say that map is incorrect. The majority of the people there love the Cowboys. They might be frustrated with them, and even express hate at times, but they still love 'em and root for them.

as a Lions fan I approve this message.

Though I think much of northern Michigan and virtually all of the U.P. roots for the Pack.

I've hated them since the Scott Hunter/Jerry Tagge days. But I actually have a hard time rooting against this generation of Packers. Rodgers is just so damn good, its a pleasure to watch him. At least it is for 14 weeks a year.

What a trip, Kauai gets a blank, and yet Ni'ihau, of all places, shows up on the radar? Not possible.

You like small kine sample???

Map is flawed not even news.

If your going to Reddit for your facts you have something wrong.

DOESNT CBS HAVE A DESPISED TEAM OPTION? I would think that would be a lot more accurate than some random survey a guy on Reddit did.

Oh forgot then they wouldn't have the pretty map.... :wall:

Very true. I am guessing the Vikings would have been most hated in 70s and 80s in the region. I grew up watching in the 70s and just remember beating down everyone in our division so badly so often that I don't really hate any of our divisional rivals. I hate the Coboys because of cheating Drew Pearson pushing off on our CB, Wright, in 1975 NFC Conference Championship and winning on last second cheating TD. That was our best team and best chance to win a SB and it was stolen. O well. And o yeah, the way the cheating Cowboys structured the Hershell Walker deal is another reason to hate them. Each player in the deal was tied to a pick--if the Cowboys did not keep a player in the deal they would get a corresponding pick and if they didn't keep a player on their active roster then they lost the corresponding pick. But somehow they appealed to NFL commissioner and were able to keep both the players and the picks.

Lol, what do Nebraska and Virginia have against the Cowboys?
Bars in D.C. and MD wouldn't even broadcast Cowboys games back in the '90s, claiming that there were too many fights when Redskins and Cowboys fans were in the same bar.

On the other hand, I love how CT hates the Giants. Who hates the Giants outside of natural NFC rivals?

The midwest and even the Dakotas are Bears fans outside of Wisconsin apparently.

I'm kind of surprised that Montana and Idaho are so anti-Seahawk.

And apparently Texas and NM have gone Houston Texans.

And I think southern Alabama is largely pro-Saints.

Who does Delaware hate? Can't tell which graphic that is.

Giants beat the Pats in their last two Super Bowls?
Yeah, but CT can't even get it right and hate the Jets. Southern CT is Giants land, and there are plenty of us in the North. I'm a Giant/Jet/Raider fan from NoCT, and there are tons of Giants fans up here. Weird they're the most hated.

That's like doing a poll in CT and getting the Yankees as the most hated.

Yep, Vikings beat the Lions 10 straight games in one stretch of the early 70s. One time we had a chip shot FG to win it on the last play and Minnesota blocked it.

I didn't hate the other Central Division teams, though. I was very parochial growing up. When the Lions would be eliminated (every year except '70) I would root for the division champ in the playoffs.

Map is a great indication of just how bad the Raiders really are... nobody hates them anymore.

little bitter, eh?

Not a fan of theirs, but the map makes a real statement for the Belichick/Brady era of the Pat's... doubt they were anywhere on this map 15 years ago.

This. Just shut up and play.
Nope. Some of us love their brand of football. The last gasp of physical secondaries that get away with it, linebackers chasing you everywhere, all that stuff.
meh, they play dirty. Sherman is a doosh. And as a Pac 12 alum (not USC) cant stand petey carroll. lynch is annoying too.

Yeah, I can see both sides of it. I actually like them because of their rise from complete ineptitude to dominance with a bit of attitude. Like the Ravens, without murderers.

I see both sides as well. Beyond what I already said, the two fan bases that are the most annoying are the eagles and the hawks. I'm sure they will disagree and tell me how lame the Cowboys and their fans are. Its an ongoing drama.

Oh, well, everybody knows that Cowboy fans are frontrunners. What are you doing even addressing me? ;)

Totally agree. With PC creeping into sports under the guise of "fairness," I like the old school up yours. It's only dooshery if you can't back it up.

TONS of Patriots fans in CT. By far the majority.

I find this fascinating. Where in Northern CT do you live? I'm from Southeastern CT and the VAST majority of people are Pats/Red Sox fans. Like, it's not even close. Giants and Yankees fans are pretty rare.

Sure. Up in the Farmington Valley area, right by the notch of CT, but I've spent significant time in Fairfield County and other places. The Giants still have a strong hold up here and down there. You're SE, which is down by Rhode Island, so your image of CT is naturally a bit colored by the area you're in, just like it is for me. Personally, I'm a Red Sox fan and Jet/Giant fan.

Also, the dividing line for Sox/Yanks has always been drawn -- according to lore -- in Middletown.

Its cool, I'll go away when we lose the last three games.
