God, those elections legislation that restricts contributions regarding political commercials and speech sure are effective. We'd better get the FCC to regulate conservative talk radio, because God knows those on the left don't have other outlets to get their message across.

Let's count how many green pantsuits Tea wears.

:lmao:

Tea Leoni might be in my 'top 5 in their prime' celebs list, but her prime is past and this looks awful.
One of the best looking women I've ever seen. She even made that romantic comedy with Nic Cage watchable. She's up there with Zeta-Jones for me.

will this get good reviews from the people paid to tell you that the good wife is, good? Because they can't stand to see network dramas dying their much deserved death?

Thank you for mentioning TGW. It is hands down the most overrated television show of the last 20-25 years. I assume that anyone who raves about it has never seen it.

wasn't that bad...

will be some wars between her and Chief of Staff.

want to see where the story goes on the past Secretary accidental death, and then the George character who knew it was no accident.

ill give it a few more episodes before making a complete judgement

Networks try sooooo hard to pump up dramas with female leads. I've never met one person who ever watched one episode of "the closer" but if you ask the folks at tnt, it apparently got higher ratings than the super bowl

my ex-wife loved that show. she also loved "weeds". i would say she has questionable taste but then it might reflect poorly on me as a former spouse.

I think The Good Wife is very well written and acted.
+1

I'm a big, big fan of Tea. I'll be watching at least 3 episodes of this even if the first two are terrible. I kind of get a bit skeved out knowing she was married to David Dukovney though.

maybe the show will change over time, but there wasn't a liberal slant in the first episode.

The president was an old while man, that made me assume he was a republican.

Yes. Because up until Obama, every president has been Republican.

It has nothing to do with who has been president.

Over the last 10 years or so, TV and movies pretty consistently cast black men and white women as liberal presidents. White guys are conservative presidents. Granted once in a rare while they want to be edgy and they cast a black male as a Republican president.

Gotcha. My post was more of a joke, rather than a serious argument.

There is no joking allowed when it comes to religion, race, or TV.

Heh.

To the political point, even the producers of the show admitted they were basing the show off of Albright and Hillary, both of whom are heavily indebted to the first Clinton presidency. I am not chasing unicorns, though. If it's not a liberally-slanted show, it's not a liberally-slanted show. That's neatly tautological, but at least it's true. Thanks for the update.

I still don't think I'll be watching. I think the advertising and overtones are enough make it semi-political, but that's not a debate I really want to get into because it gets really subjective at that point, and probably not too conducive to hanging out.

eta* Also, I'm not watching because it's semi-political; I just don't have enough time nor care enough. The only reason I posted is because I was getting inundated with ads both on Yahoo! and on the network channel during football. It cracked me up.
