2013 Off Season Dynasty Trade Thread (for completed trades) (1 Viewer)

Yes sirs!

I understand the point of having a separate forum for "advice" but a true discussion doesn't have such strict rules. Can you imagine talking FF at a bar with friends, talking about completed trades and I drop my question. Then my buddy says, "you'll have to pose that question over there at the advice booth".

If you're really bothered by my post, simply not answering would get your point across without the edge of coming off like a ####. Just saying. I posted my question in the appropriate thread now, for all of you rule nazis.
This thread is valuable because it has trades that were actually made and not cluttered up with all kinds of offers. I agree there's some overlap but the whole AC forum is for discussing potential deals.
How do people not understand this? This thread would become uselsss if it turned into a trade advice thread. To stay on topic, another Goodson trade:

12 team PPR

Gave - Daryl Richardson, 2014 3rd rounder

Got - Goodson

The pick put it over the top - it wasn't going straight up.

Looks like Richardson for Goodson is a popular thing. Seems about right - younger, flashier potential for career (fairly decent) backup who will now get a shot without a clear stud in front of him.

I've just done this in a 16 team .5ppr start 1/2/3/1 and a flexIt leaves me quite thin in depth but my starting lineup is ridiculous.GiveMathewsFitzCookGetHarvinFred Davis14 2ndLineup is nowRodgersMcCoy RichardsonHarvin Green Nicks CobbGraham
Any thoughts on this?
I like it for you, but like you said it hurts your depth. I just wouldn't want to be caught holding the bag on Mathews, so if you have Harvin much higher than Fitz then it's a good deal for you. Fred Davis + 2nd is also a win for you.

This should be an interesting one for those interested in what Welker's movement has effected in terms of value. Just completed it:

12 team PPR.

Gave:

Decker

Rookie 2.01

Andre Brown

Got:

Hernandez

Gimmie Decker/Rookie 2.01/Brown.
What makes this even more interesting, for context, is that it's not like I was moving WR depth for a starting TE. I have Gronk actually. So Hernandez will be directly replacing Decker in my starting lineup in a flex spot, and coming off a championship it was a move I felt might pay off.

Thanks. It really helped my position. Went from Harvin to Cruz, a wash in my mind, and from Scott Chandler to Aaron Hernandez, night and day huge upgrade.Lost some draft spots but gained depth with Edelman. Pretty happy with the way it worked out.

So let's start with Rice Versus CJ2K.

Tennessee has beefed up their O-Line and has committed to Johnson. Meanwhile Baltimore's defense has imploded. Maybe they fix it with the guys they have and through the draft... maybe they don't. I think they'll have to throw early and often. I also feel that Pierce presents a real threat to Rice's time. He is exceptionally talented. I'm not remotely worried about Greene.

Rice is my RB4. CJ2K is my RB8. Not overly worried with the drop-off. Add in the 1.03 and that MORE than covers for the difference in my mind.

Now we have Kendal Wright and the 2.12 for the 4.11, 4.12, 5.11, 6.11, Holmes and Bess.

Bess isn't worth anything in my mind. Might not even have a roster spot. Holmes... another guy with little to no value. The Jets are a mess. I'd never, ever, start him. Four late picks. Lottery tickets.

Now I got Kendal Wright... my second favorite WR in last year's draft class, and a much earlier pick in the 2.12. Should be some real value there in a deep draft class.

The way I saw it.

CJ2K 1.03 > Rice

Wright 2.12 > Trash and late picks

12 Team PPRTeam A Trades : Hakeem NicksTeam B Trades : Kendall Wright/Andre Brown/1.3
Very hard to evaluate without knowing each team's needs. Very even trade if you ask me. It's hard to determine a winner for me.
Team A is in full rebuild mode and clearly was not going to compete this year . Currently he holds the following rookie picks ( 1.2/1.3/1.4/1.6/1.11/2.1/2.2/2.3) and a Very Young roster: Roster Highlights.QB: Romo/TannahillRB: Ben Tate/Andre Brown/Bernard Pierce/Robert Turbin/LaMichael James WR: Ashlon Jeffery/Aj Jenkins/Kendall Wright/Mohamed Sanu/Jarius WrightTE: Dwayne Allen/Ladarius Green/Martellus Bennet. I Think it was a good trade for Team A especially with the make up of his current roster.

12 Team, 1PPR, QB-QB-RB-RB-WR-WR-TE-Flex(RB/WR/TE)-DEF

Team A Gave - Ray Rice, Shane Vereen, James Jones

Team B Gave - AJ Green, Robert Turbin, 3.08

Team B needed RB's badly, and was deep at WR.

Team A is starting a mini rebuild, and now has a bunch of crap/RB2-3 types at RB.

Starting lineups are now:

Team B:

QB: Peyton Manning

QB: Brandon Weeden

RB: Ray Rice

RB: Shane Vereen - BJGE - Bradshaw - Cedric Peerman

WR: Brandon Marshall

WR: Hakeem Nicks

WR: Denarius Moore - James Jones - Chris Givens - Justin Hunter - Stephen Hill

TE: Jermichael Finley - Kyle Rudolph - Martellus Bennett

Team A:

QB: Matthew Stafford

QB: Colin Kaepernick

RB: Rashard Mendehall/Ryan Williams

RB: Moreno/McGahee - DeAngelo Williams - Mikel Leshoure/Jahvid Best - DuJuan Harris - Kendall Hunter - Robert Turbin

WR: AJ Green

WR: Dez Bryant

FL: DeSean Jackson - DX - Broyles

TE: Jimmy Graham - Jason Witten - Vernon Davis - Robert Housler

I will take the two players and pick 3.Nicks isn't a guy I would be looking to give up a big package for. I think regardless of situation, whether you are in "win now" or "rebuild", I would prefer Wright, Brown, and pick 3

Nicks is worth way more than the 1.03 IMO. Not sure if giving up Wright is too much (admittedly not a fan) but it's not a bad trade.

Not really sure what you are saying here. Of course Nicks is worth more than pick 3. That wasn't the trade though.I also never said it was a "bad" trade, I jsut can't think of a scenario where I prefer Nicks to that package.

What I meant is that it comes down to how you view Wright - I view him as a WR3 type.

Gave:

Green

Steven Jackson

Got:

Gronk

Bowe

Unless SSOG chimes in, I'll be surprised if many prefer my side. I view Bowe as an upgrade over Jackson, whom I wanted to deal while his value is high. And while I picked Green over Gronk initially because he is safer and has more trade value, I think Gronk is a unique advantage and makes my team better. Turning Jackson into Bowe was enough for me to justify the move.

Brady

D.Murray

E.Lacy (Knock no wood, currently 1.01)

Cruz

Nelson

Bowe

Austin

Gronk (formerly O.Daniels/B.Myers)

Think you need to be more specific on the Jackson.

My only IDP league is heavy, so taking the defenders out of the picture, I think this is pretty good value for Jackson. Especially considering the 2014 pick seems to be coming from a non-playoff team.

I think you made your lineup worse for the next couple years. Is Green - Bowe + Jackson - Lacy < Gronk - Daniels? Based on last years stats Green - Bowe ~= Gronk - Daniels, right?
If we use 2012 averages for the WRs and TEs, yes, the gap is about equal. But looking at the last 3 seasons, 2011 was an outlier for Bowe. I feel just fine leaning on him for WR2 numbers, and expect them, even. In which case, Gronk - Daniels > Green - Bowe.As for Jackson and Lacy, I want to see what happens with Lacy before I concede him being a downgrade over the next 2 seasons. I don't think equal short-term production will be difficult to acquire, if need be, too.My worst starter is now Bowe. It was Daniels. If Gronk scores close to Green (he has), that is a big difference.

I'm not high on investing too much on a QB in the current market. But like Ryan here. Cutler is just a throw in at this point, and even if I had another quality starter, I'd need quite a bit more than Jackson for Ryan.
