18 votes for CBS. Not bad for a site that gets bashed on the MB all the time

Other - XpertSports. They should probably be a poll option.

Also, one of my leagues is trying out fleaflicker.com. They're free, customizable, and have live scoring. Site is pretty clean-looking. Let's see if they suck.

Used fanball for our league last year. Only problem we have had is on the first Sunday each year the live scoring sucks. They generally work it our after the first week and come out with a somewhat lame 'due to an unusually high traffic volume'....excuse.

Other than that we have no problems with fanball.

We've been using Yahoo for the past few years. It's simple and easy to use, with no problems. However, just recently we were debating using a blind bidding system for the waiver wire...if we do use it, it looks like we'll have to go somewhere else.

Any recommendations?

2 leagues with AOL for the second year.

AOL was fantastic last season. They run off of fanball.com's service. They had a few hiccups with the live scoring the first week or so and a few problems with the live draft, but other than that it was fantastic. Are you giving the thumbsdown just because it's AOL or because you were not happy with it? Everyone that I know that used AOL last season was pretty happy with it overall and are returning this season as well.

Voted RTSports as thats the one we use in the league I have been with longest.

Also started using myfantasyleague this year and have used Yahoo for free leagues I have been in. Not my favorite though.

Fanball, Exit42 (now Real Leagues/Fanball), MyFantasyLeague, AOL (maybe), Fleaflicker (maybe).

Voted other.

I would like to hear why myfantasyleague seems so popular. What do you like about it?
Highly customizable, but as others have said the interface sucks. Overall probably the best out of all the ones I've used, which has been all the major ones except RTSports.

I have absolutely no idea how somebody could ##### about getting that service *for free*. This is absolutely the best free fantasy football option on the net, period.

There seems to be a serious dislike for AOL around here. I think it's partially due to bigalgreek coming off as a bit of a blowhard at first around here (he turned out to be a HUGE help). It's also because people don't believe that a free service can be quality. It'd bug me too if I were paying $75 and knew that others were getting one for nothing and still finding it to be useful.Anything is better then the old paper and pen days though.

I seriously don't mind spending $60 spread out over 12 teams to get my league right. AOL probably works for a lot of people, but our scoring system and team set up is pretty custom.

Fanstar was one of only a couple sites we found that could do exactly what we wanted to do.

Once we weighed our options, it was pretty clear.

You have to keep in mind, I wasn't willing to bend any of our rules. We had done penil and paper (Excel spreadsheet) for YEARS and we did it the way WE wanted to do it...not the way some web-site wanted us to do it.

For that, it's worth $60, without any question what so ever!!!. (cheaper for renewal, the first year was a bit more).

Agreed. I had one league that paid to use fanball, the other used AOL for free and I couldn't tell the difference. AOL is one of the better free ones out there.

I personally hate myfantasyleague's interface. But, I'll still use it if I have to.
I agree with this. I guess its reliable and customizable and all that, but the GUI sucks.
That's the great thing about MFL though, if you don't like the way it looks or the way it's set up, you can change it! This isn't always a good thing, of course, I've seen a lot of really ugly MFL sites, but that's not MFL's fault, that just means the commissioner of that particular league is a terrible web designer...

Statsworld

www.statsworld.com

They offer complicated scoring solutions for our league. I also love the "sportspage" they generate each week with articles about the previous week's matchups with made up "quotes" from the coaches (meaning the owners). Funny stuff for mid-season trashtalk emails.
