Can we get a list of Sleeper DL's? (1 Viewer)

Every year there's a DE or DL who comes out of nowhere and starts every week and ends up doing well in the process.

One guy that comes to mind is Justin Tuck of the Giants. Good player behind Osi and Strahan. I'm pretty sure he won't be much of a factor this year, but he's a good guy to have in dynasty leagues.

Who comes to mind for you? DL's who are backups now, but has a chance to start this year.

Darryl Tapp and DeWayne White come to mind. Not completely unknowns, but guys who won't be starting from the get-go. Some are high on Trent Cole in Philly. Cory Redding v. Kalimba Edwards in Detroit.

most of the rookies this year would deserve mention in this list, so I'm excluding them. also left out the names already mentioned above.

DE:

Darrion Scott, Minnesota

Kenard Lang, Denver

Matt Roth, Miami

Lance Johnstone, Oakland

DT:

Tank Johnson, Chicago

CJ Mosley, Minnesota

Hollis Thomas, New Orleans

It's early now, but watch for DT Anthony Montgomery for the Redskins. He's big, strong and quick, but for some reason fell to the 5th round this year. The team is impressed with him, and he could well replace Joe Salave'a in the lineup in the near future.

I watched Dewayne White against the Jets the other night and he looked like a beast. I like him a lot this year, but I've been saying that forever seemingly.

Others I have my eye on for '06:

James Hall-not getting any respect in recent auctions I've done
Kevin Williams-not a sleeper per se, but not geting as much love as he deserves. Nice comeback performance off an injury-plauged year.
Tyler Brayton-Finally back with his hand on the ground, as it should have been all along. With Burgess seeing double-teams, this kid should do very well this year.
Travis Laboy
Matt Roth
Brett Keisel-Somebody's going to have to replace Kimo. Don't expect Jason Taylor numbers, but he should be a decent starter.
Mathias Kiwanuka-don't sleep on this kid. He has looked very good and it only takes one injury to either Osi or Strahan.
Victor Adeyanju-Little is getting long in the tooth and this kid has performed well to this point. Somebody to keep an eye on imo.

I can't believe I still have White on my roster after drafting him two seasons ago. I think he could be really good, but obviously I've thought that for the past two seasons as well.

I'm shocked Mark Anderson, DE, Bears hasn't been mentioned.
This thread just got bumped from August. No need to mention Anderson at this point. Everyone knows about him.

Ray Edwards - Minnesota - rookie but looked like a monster when he got in the game

Rob Ninkovich - Saints - on IR but looked like he has some upside potential once he gets healthy. But with Grant and W Smith in front of him - how long before he gets a chance.
