Guys,

I just got word that WIP 610 in Philly is reporting that a possible deal has been completed between the Broncos and Eagles.

Broncos get

Ryan Moats

Darwin Walker

a 5th round pick

Eagles get

Ashley Lelie

Tatum Bell

I am looking for a web link as I type this and will edit this post when I get one.

EDIT: As of now its just a nice rumor....dont take this as a fact - YET

Moats doesn't seem like a good fit for Denver. :confused:

I know he's probably not the key here, but still seems odd.

 
Why would the Eagles do this?

Do they miss TO so much that they feel the need to add two malcontents to make up for lost time?

They have enough WR3's, why add one more?

Tatum Bell can't catch, or run inside....how exactly would he fit the offense?

If this isn't :bs: , then its a horrible move for Philadelphia.

i don't see how it makes much sense for either team.
 
Westbrook had Moats, Mahe and Buck all chopin at his heals before this. He get's no respect. T.Bell and Lelie add depth and do make a small dent on Westbrook and Reggie's value. Seriously, they both have sucked the root. Why else would they be outta Mile High?

And to the guy who took Moats a round early to keep me, the Westbrook owner, from getting him... pbpbpbpbffffftttthhhh!

 
I saw this a rumor posted early on the Eagle Message Board. Just signed into WIP online and haven't heard this yet?

 
Are we sure this isn't some sports talk host playing 'What if"?

The Eagles MB is just treating like it's just another rumor.

How can it hurt? They dumped a pile of trash for some talented players.
 
WOW!. This is a huge trade for this late in offseason(is this even still called the offseason????).

On paper looks like a very good trade for both teams.

I would however temper enthusiasm for LeLie's numbers. He still needs alot of learning to do. And he looks like Todd Pinkston II.

At least I could take Westy in the 2nd and have a solid performer. Now, he's Larry Centers with more injury risk.

If true, I think it says Shanahan wanted to remove T Bell from the change of pace role he was clearly unhappy with, and find a similar player who seems content with such a role. Not that Bell's role in Philly will be better, but at least he is someone else's issue and not Denver's.

Another man's trash is another man's treasure. Just don't see how these guys will have a positive impact on team chemistry. Surprises me that Philly would take a couple of guys like them after the TO mess.

time to pull westy off my yahoo list, and put lelie back..wow, i don't get why denver would want it... they wanted lelie for Tjones, they lose tatum and get moats and a pick?

Lelie is McNabbs WR1. Huge bump in value there -- I think he is most affected. Some are saying Mike Bell is most affected, but I don't think so, since it was clear that Shanny simply will never make him a starting back in DEN.In fact, I think Moats is second most affected, because he could absolutely emerge as the back in DEN. Huge sleeper.

FWIW, I checked the websites of the Philly city papers, the suburban papers, Comcast Sportsnet, and no mention of this news.
