From CBS Sportsline:
Terrell Owens, WR DAL
News: Between the Cowboys getting WR Terrell Owens a second MRI on his hamstring and conversations we've had with insiders and NFL alumni, T.O. has dropped from the top of our wide receiver rank list. We've learned that in addition to Owens' sore hamstring -- which is a serious injury after all -- he has what has been described as a "chronic groin" ailment that has been with him since Philadelphia. Several sources, including Sports Illustrated's Peter King, have reported that Owens has been slower than normal in camp and has not been able to shake even third-string defensive backs. T.O. has yet to be cleared to play in the team's third preseason game vs. the 49ers on Saturday and may not play based on his limited practice and the results of his MRI.
Analysis: We've also learned that rivals are already plotting for a slower version of Owens, and it could impact his performance, which could potentially lead to another locker room mess. Owens remains a quality No. 1 Fantasy receiver, but in our estimation he would not be the best one to take first off the WR board. We've got him slotted fourth among WRs and in the overall top 20, but that is as of now; if he plays in the team's third preseason game, he could be moved back up the boards. Consider using a late second- or early third-round pick on him, but beware of his faults. We could not blame you if you dropped him even further on your rank lists, but just remember that he does have awesome size, a very strong drive to compete and his hands are considered one of the game's best.
