Whats the word on how the rookie LB Ernie Simms is looking?

Is he a value pick or a flyer late in the rounds............possibly the next Tatupu or Vilma??

Let me know what you think....i have my eye on him! Thanks

He looks as advertised. I'm not sure how much of a value/flyer pick he'll be for you, though, depends on how deep your league will be. He's currently expected to perform as a top 25 backer by many. Most have compared his upside to Derrick Brooks, the gold standard Tampa-2 WLB.

Thanks....seems like lots of people are curious, but have no insight.

I like the thread attachment.....confirms my hunch to take him. had the same feeling with Thurman last year..too bad he went downhill with Chris Henry and the crew in Cincy.

 
Anyone notice the line Alex Lewis had this weekend? 6 tackles, 1 asst, 1 forced fumble. Problem is, while I know he didn't start, I don't know where he played or how much time he got eother, but for a non starter in week 3 of preseason, that's an eye opening line. I see on depth charts he's behind Sims on the weak side.... but, did he do all of that in just the secong half?.... or less?

 
simms looks great . he looks better than i thought he would . ive seen all the pre-season lion games . the guys that looked good against oakland (few did) were simms, kj, wr furry and lb lewis (simms backup) .

lewis started week 1 and had a good game. i think i'm going to pick him up.

I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you do.I'm addressing Alex Lewis in my weekly column. In short, the SLB in a Tampa-2 defense isn't a good option even next to a poor MLB option like Paris Lenon.

Well, in the dynasty league I was hoping to win this year.... I already lost Greenway, and Quarles is getting iffy. I might have to activate Lewis off my DTS.... it's a Lawson/Lewis/Vrabel decision for me.... not happy about my 3rd LB situation at all. Jene, I figure the Detroit D will be on the field a lot. Lenon barely showed up in the stats. See any chance of Lewis going to MLB? The kid is a playmaker.... even at SLB (I desperately hope).
