Game Thread W2 - Houston V Indianapolis (1 Viewer)

Andy Hicks

Footballguy
Welcome to Week 2

Once the game kicks off this thread will be pinned, but for now it will run on its own merits.

Please provide your thoughts, pre, during and after the game.

Remember that not everyone will be watching this game, so if you could provide detailed analysis it would be much appreciated. ***PLEASE BE CIVIL***

Things like 'Go Reggie' aren't what we are looking for.

Why will team X win?

Who is the QB targetting?

How are the lines looking?

Who's running the ball well?

Who looks in over his head?

Who's injured (also reference this in the injury thread which will be created once the sunday games are live)

Anything that you think will be of benefit to someone not watching the game or who doesn't care about your fantasy team.

Post game analysis, in particular is what we want to see.

Go for it

Why will team X win? I think all but the most optimistic Texans fans think the Colts will win this one. Most expect the Colts passing game to be too much, and Carr has always had small passing numbers against the Colts.

Who is the QB targetting? Obviously Wayne and Harrison. Dallas Clark has had good games against Houston recently, however Houston plays a different defense now so that may or may not be the case on Sunday. I think Moulds could be a decent flex start for Houston - the Colts will focus on Andre Johnson in the passing game.

How are the lines looking? Colts D Line looked terrible last week - I expect a better peformance this week. Colts O-Line is kind of shaky, too, but not terrible.

Who's running the ball well? Both running games had poor rushing numbers in week 1 - and both should do better this week.

Who looks in over his head? Easy to say Rhodes/Addai - but this is the week they can finally look decent.

Who's injured (also reference this in the injury thread which will be created once the sunday games are live)

Two Texans CBs are injured (Buchanon and one other). Corey Simon and DE Josh Thomas are out. Stokely is a question mark - I think he'll sit if I had to guess and try to get healthy for Jax next week.

I can't think of a worse opening drive for the Texans than that.

Note: I'm not feeling well so I'm not at the game - I usually would be.

Looking liike Indy by 40+.

As a harrison owner this sucks... decreasing chances of long bombs for TDs with Indy this far ahead.

Good day to own rhodes/addai.

Houston Speecial Teams should be huge today for leagues who play them.

Obviously Indy's DEF should post monster numbers as well...I think they've got 2 INTs in them today.

Harrison is no longer a part of this offense. He'll probably retire at the end of the season, the game has passed him by.

Addai 1 yard TD. 21-0

**play challenged as Addai lost the ball at/near the stripe**

FUM by Indy, HOU gets the ball on a touchback.

Dayne looked like #### hitting that hole... giant hole and he's slowly stepping through it to get brought down on hte other side.

:lmao: Addai owners went from bliss to pissed.
Did they get it right? Was it a fumble or touchdown?
VERY close call.. looked like the ball had crossed the plane MAYBE halfway when the ball was popped out. Tough to see even from goalline cam... it was THAT close.

If it was that close, why did they overturn it? The original call was a touchdown. Trying to keep the game close or something instead of 21-0 in the first?

As a Texans fan, a Wali Lundy owner, and a Dominic Rhodes owner...

A. Houston is just as bad as advertised

B. Lundy is not the best RB on the team

C. Rhodes is not the best RB on the team

Ok first of all they ruled it a TD on the field so how can they challenge that it was a fumble recovered by Houston? Isn't that unchallengeable as hypothetically the whistle blew and everyone stopped?

Also, if it was as close as described how the heck was it overturned if it needs to be CONCLUSIVE evidence?

Wow...what's going on here?

I think it was close but it was a fumble. Also, I didn't hear a whistle blow until after the recovery of the fumble.
