Game Thread W2 - New England V NY Jets (1 Viewer)

Andy Hicks

Footballguy
Welcome to Week 2

Once the game kicks off this thread will be pinned, but for now it will run on its own merits.

Please provide your thoughts, pre, during and after the game.

Remember that not everyone will be watching this game, so if you could provide detailed analysis it would be much appreciated. ***PLEASE BE CIVIL***

Things like 'Go Reggie' aren't what we are looking for.

Why will team X win?

Who is the QB targetting?

How are the lines looking?

Who's running the ball well?

Who looks in over his head?

Who's injured (also reference this in the injury thread which will be created once the sunday games are live)

Anything that you think will be of benefit to someone not watching the game or who doesn't care about your fantasy team.

Post game analysis, in particular is what we want to see.

Go for it

There's a lot of smack talk going on in the fish versus bills thread, but none here....what gives?

Edge NFL Matchup this morning showed the Jets Nose Tackle getting BLOWN UP by the Titans. Who is this jamoke and when does he lose his job....after today's game?

I'll take the Pats 24-13.

Dewayne Robertson?

I just realized who Maroney reminds me of as a running back. Ricky Williams. I never quite saw the Edge comparisons really.

Nuts on the Dillon TD. :(

Maroney looked to get the majority of the carries though, Dillon got the impotant one.

Ahh well... with that many rushes, looks like there's plenty to go around.

Boston fans have three Lombardi trophies and a world series win this decade.I've definitely noticed that Boston fans have grown a lot less arrogant in the last couple years. If there was any truth to the notion that fans need to learn how act like winners, maybe it is so with them.

Is Jackson starting? I'm picked him up off waivers thinking we would contribute possibly by mid-year. The guy is putting up some stats sooner than I thought he would.

Ben "The Big TE Sleeper AGAIN" Watson is fixing to find his way to the waiver wire. Thinking of picking up Stinky McGilicuddy for a little production. :kicksrock:

Incredible effort by Cotchery.

He was hit by two Patriots and nearly helicoptered, but his knee never hit, looked like he was doing a one-handed push-up, and got back up to run it in for the TD.

Wow!

better detail please....
3rd and long, Pennington throws a 15 yarder to Cotchery, gets hit by two defenders, almost hits the ground, keeps his balance, and then runs 50 yards untouched for a TD.Being challenged right now to see if his knee was down. Sorta like the Harrison play against the Broncos in the playoffs a few years ago, or the Santana Moss TD a few years back for the Jets (I think against the Raiders).

Brady's been inaccurate today. Lots of passes have sailed by the receivers. That INT there was just a deep bomb but in double coverage, adn underthrown. As good as a punt, I suppose.

Brady: 9/21

Just to let you know he would have had a touchdown if Brady had not underthrown him. He was wideopen in the endzone.

Just saw the replay on that play by Cotchery -- can't freaking believe he was able to keep his balance after that hit, let alone turn it into a 70 yd TD reception.

Great TD by Coles there...it was all him making people miss. Three good moves on separate defenders as he ran down the field.
