Just some random pre-game thoughts... lots of big implications here.

Isn't it interesting that NBC is promoting this game as bigger than Manning vs. Manning last week. I know they are just trying to boost ratings, but that's a little on the bold side I think. That is until you think about all the obvious T.O. media attention and this is his debut in Dallas (in prime time no less).

I still maintain that this is the greatest NFL rivalry.

If Bledsoe throws some picks, do we see Romo? And if/when that happens, is there any looking back?

Is Portis' injury going to be a factor in his ability tonight?

Since the Giants beat the Iggles, putting them both at 1-1, whoever wins this is tied for first and the loser is behind the other three by a game.

It's looking like heavy rain is probable during part of the game. Right now (three hours before kickoff), it's just light rain here a few miles north of the stadium. But some flooding is happening in the area and the chances increase somewhat later.

Parcells and Gibbs are getting up there in age, but I think we have a few of these matchups left.

Manning vs. Manning is great from a novelty perspective, but this is a lot more meaningful in a footbal sense. Plus, it's the best rivalry in the NFL.

Another quick thought - Bill Parcells has the worst build of any human alive.

I think Bledsoe plays the entire game, and even if he stinks goesn't get pulled for Romo.

Additionally, I think if the Dallas O-Line can give Bledsoe enough time, he can chuck the ball downfield to TO and Glenn and they can burn the depleted Redskins' secondary.

I see this as being a bit of a blowout, and therefore somewhat anticlimactic.

Dallas 24

Washington 7

I think the wet field could be a huge negative for Portis, so him being out may not be a huge hit. Betts may shine tonight.

Also could be a detriment to speedy WRs like Moss and Glenn.

Sheesh, I worded that poorly. My point is that I think Portis wouldn't have to worry about the rain too much if he had been playing.

As a Skins fan I will admit to be real nervous about what TO and Glenn may do to our weakened secondary, but I'm also looking forward to watching Roy Williams get toasted a few more times

This Dallas D will be great when they start to gel. I don't think they're there quite yet though despite this early 3 and out.

Not that I sympthize with the Cowboys or Redskins, or have any faith in the refs after what they did to the Giants two weeks in a row, but that penalty looked kinda crappy. Did he even touch him?

Are advertisers that lazy? They have to use the same exact Southwest football commercials they used last year??
