Giants Friday injury update, WR Burress sits again

The Giants are sure nursing a lot of injuries this week that won't be helped by a six-hour flight. WR Plaxico Burress missed practice again today with back trouble. WR Tim Carter, who returned to practice on Thursday, was out again with an ankle problem. TE Jeremy Shockey (ankle) did continue to practice, but CB Sam Madison (foot) was a late addition to the injury report.

And then there's rookie WR Sinorice Moss, who is now out of the game with his thrice-strained quad. "He'll be shutting down again, until someone tells me further," said Tom Coughlin. "I don't know how lengthy, I don't think anybody does, but the last experience was not a good one."

I hope he plays! I have TO on bye, with only Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, and Colston as my last remaining WRs.

So, Toomer will have four TDs this weekend, right?
Is Toomer healthy? He almost fainted on the last play of the game (Buress' TD catch) and was helped off the field by trainers. He said he was running his pattern and his legs gave out on him and he just fell down. :(

And they all(except moss of course) magically got better on Friday....gotta love the NFL

From BBI

WR Plaxico Burress (back) did not practice yesterday. "It tightened up before practice," said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. "I think he'll work (on Friday). We're expecting that." Burress is officially listed as "probable" for the game against the Seahawks on Sunday.

TE Jeremy Shockey (ankle) returned to practice and remains "probable" for the game. "He looked pretty good," said Coughlin. "Hopefully he'll make progress again (on Friday)."

"I am very glad the bye week is this early," Shockey said. "It seems to me I have been very depressed the last couple of weeks, more at myself than anyone else, because I was hurt in a preseason game against the Patriots. I have to move on and get better." Shockey is not happy that the Giants' coaching staff played him in the preseason finale.

WR Tim Carter (ankle) also returned to practice. He is "probable."

WR Sinorice Moss (quad) and S James Butler (knee) did not practice again and remain "questionable" for the game. Moss told the press, however, that he will not play. "I'm not disappointed, I'm frustrated," said Moss. "You've just got to do what you've got to do to get back. It's a strained muscle. You sit down and you rest it."

probable probable probable

Kffl reported Burress practiced....
If MKB4 posts news from a friday newspaper, it's based on thursday news. Paper's come out so early in the morning....think about it. KFFL posting that he practiced today is not disagreeing but "he practice the NEXT day"

untrue... I post current stuff only! The blog entry was a Friday after practice entry by the beat writer for that paper.Kffl is the one wrong.

Coughlin said WR Sinorice Moss, who reinjured his quadriceps Wednesday, is "shut down until someone tells me further." ... WR Plaxico Burress (back) did not practice Friday but said he will play. He felt a twinge in his back during the win over the Eagles ... CB Sam Madison (foot) did not practice and, like Burress, is listed as probable. S James Butler (knee) is out and will be replaced in dime packages by Jason Bell.
