Welcome to Week 3

This thread will be pinned once it's kickoff time

The 49ers are terrible. How can teams keep playing the Eagles and not put a defensive spy on Brian Westbrook? He's not really a threat running the ball. Teams should basically just run out a nickle package and keep that 3rd DB on Westbrook.

Why is it that speedy receivers always have hamstring issues? Shouldn't they be the most conditioned to avoid that versus a wide receiver that doesn't have great speed?

Are we at the point yet where the Eagles get overconfident and the other team comes back?
Come on, stick to the script.Big opening is followed by flubbing a 2 min drill before halftime.Overconfidence comes in after the half when the other team makes adjustments and Philly doesn't.Conservative playcalls kick in, then the game gets away.Repeat.

:lmao:Any minute now McNabb starts getting cute before the snap.Mcnabb deserves to lose out the season in heartbreaking fashion after that showing.

SF can't generate any pass rush without blitzing, so they don't have any extra guys to spy with

Down three TDs, I think the Frank Gore show comes to a quiet close this week.
I told my leaguemates that he would be exposed this week.He is a good RB#3.
Exposed? Phi I'm sure is fired up after last week's lost. Gore is still and will be the centerpiece of SF's attack. Besides he catches the ball very well so how is he out of the game?
He is the centerpiece of an offence that is bad and backed by a horrible defense that will keep them playing from behind most of the year, just looked good against a bad and mediocre defense.

And your point? For fantasy purposes, he won't come out of the game unless its a blow out and that's only to protect him. In PPR, he's still a very good RB.

Sure he will be in the game, pass protecting, occasional screen. He had 2 good games, and will have others but very good? I don't think so.

Let me break this down for you. Barring injury he's a very good RB because:(1) He's doesn't share the rock.(2) He's a good receiver(3) He's explosive and can break tackles(4) Compared to the list of so called #1 RBs that were taken in the first round he's a steal. Caddy, Lamont, Jackson, Edge, etc etc etc. He is more than worth the money where I got him and he's an excellent #2 RB.Any more questions?

I never asked any questions, I expressed my opinion. You dont share my opinion. If he has more games like the first two, you will be correct. If he has many more games like he will end up with today I will have been proven to be correct.See how this works?Unless you have a time machine, then you could save us all a whole lot of trouble and just tell us his game by game stats for the next 5 years or so.edit: removed a word because I didnt mean to sound quite that smarmy.

Hmmm, the 49'ers are down 24-3 early in the 3rd quarter.

They have the Eagles right where they want them! :football:

What I'm saying is that because of the opportunity he has and what he's shown us so far in comparision to predicted projections of RBs taken in the first 2 rounds he's already paid the price of where I got him. The rest is now gravy.Of course everyone's opinion is welcomed here but give the guy a little more credit.

I like the guy, I just don't think he will get the opportunity based on his situation. It is a long season, it is very possible that those guys taken ahead of him, most of them anyway, will finish ahead of him.He was very good for those two weeks, but if they are playing from behind most of the time he will not be able to produce.

Lets talk this week then. He's right there on par or done better than than Caddy, Edge, Ronnie, Rudi, and Tiki. I find nothing to support your arugment up to this point.Unless you can look into your own crystal ball and tell me without a doubt, all of these guys will do better, right now give the guy his due. He's playing as good or BETTER than most of the 1st and 2nd round RBs and his team is getting blown out with supports how valuable he is. :banned:
