what's the deal? (1 Viewer)

Looks like he's having a database issue -- Jeremy (Xpert Sports owner) is a very savvy web/tech guy so I'm sure he's under the hood right now.

I was a little surprised at the volume of traffic this morning. Sunday mornings this time of year are always crazy but this morning was much worse than I expected going into week 5. This is the time of the season that things usually start to slow down ever so slightly.

Hey guys, we had an unusual amount of traffic today and it brought a few of our central servers down. I have my sys admin restoring things now and we expect to be back up in about a half hour.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

lol - hey great system

Shades of WCOFF all over again

MFL working fine, as it has all year.....

sorry scruff, just the way may brain works. Database harddrive crash more understandable?

As to BR- he has personal issues with Jeremy. MLF has had stuff breakdown or gone wrong in past. It happens.

At least they are accepting roster changes by email.
I am in the Payday salary contest. I will be asking for a refund for the season. We were unable to put in changes. That is completely unacceptable. I know I will never play in the WCOFF if Xperts has anything to do with it at all. We only spent $100 getting in to this contest. If I had spent $1500 getting into a contest and then the site went down and I couldn't make line up changes I would be furious.

xpert is normally always up, fast and reliable. The customer support is great too, this is an anomaly for xpert....

Anomaly or not, it only takes one week to destroy your confidence. You have to be able to make changes at the last minute. You have to be able to trust the site. This site has had problems, but never gone down so I couldn't make changes I needed to make. I've been on RTsports, CBS, Sporting News, and ESPN. I've never had a problem of this magnitude. I spend quite a bit of money playing fantasy. I want to win or lose because of what I do, not because I lost a week because the site was inaccessible.

I'm guessing your team was not fairing will heading into this week? Just a thought.

Actually we are doing pretty good. We are 10th out of 44, not great but within shooting distance of the top. But after this week I don't know.

10th out of 44 is pretty good. You are willing to throw that away? Seems like a knee jerk reaction.

I couldn't imagine putting all that work into a team and drafting it...and giving up just because I couldnt see live scoring for one day.
It wasn't the live scoring that was the problem. I couldn't get in and change my line up. I still had Buckhalter in the line up because the prior week I had to put him in when I found out, Monday night, that Westbrook wasn't going to play. I tried to put in the week 5 line up at 12:30 EST on Sunday morning and couldn't get in. That was the problem.

Why didn't you just email your lineup change in?
