Maroney questionable? (1 Viewer)

damn work firewalls....what's it say? do any homers have any insight....i was thinking that maroney would be a good play against a weak indy rush def on sunday night football.

Here ya go Red...

The Patriots added three more players to their injury report on Thursday, with offensive tackle Matt Light (hand) and running back Laurence Maroney (thigh) both questionable. Backup quarterback Matt Cassel was another addition, as he is probable with a right shoulder injury. While this could be part of the back-and-forth between the Patriots and Colts, Light did have some of the fingers on his right hand wrapped in the team's locker room today.Other than the additions of Light, Maroney and Cassel, the rest of the Patriots' injury report remained the same. Every player but Tom Brady and Matt Cassel were reported to have missed a portion of team drills.

There's almost no chance it's really a meaningful injury. These two teams have been gaming the injury reports all week.

The Colts will almost certainly add three-and perhaps four-guys later today or tomorrow now.

Is this the same player who got an X-ray on his hand last week and had everybody sweating? He then promply delivered 8 rushes for 34 yards, and two receptions for 33 yards against one of the better D's? Maroney's a tough kid. He'll play this week. Especially considering it's the rival Colts.

I see 60 total yards and one TD :football:

The Colts and Pats are playing games with the injury report. Between the two teams, I think there are now 40 players listed as questionable, including many players that practiced all week and have not reported any injuries.

Don't forget his 70+ yard kick return!

What is the all-time record for most players on the injury report for one game? Right now, I think both combined have 38 players.

Yeah, Maroney is questionable because Dillon smacked him in the leg and gave him a charlie horse in the last team meeting.

Either that or he hurt it when he ran into/over/around Dave Thomas on that kickoff return. Damn TE getting in the way of an incredible runback for a TD.

Nope. Native Texan but OU grad.

Go ahead and pile on some more. Pretty sure you are not going to say something I have not heard.

Patriots | Maroney added to injury report

Thu, 2 Nov 2006 15:29:21 -0800

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots RB Laurence Maroney (thigh) has been added to the injury report as questionable for Week 9.

He's no more questionable than Tom Brady. Something needs to be done that prevents any team from making a mockery of the injury list.

forgive me but isn't this reason to be concerned... I mean cbs is reporting he missed practice.

Laurence Maroney, RB NE

News: Patriots RB Laurence Maroney (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 9 vs. Indianapolis. Maroney did not practice with the team on Thursday.

Analysis: There is reason to be concerned that Maroney has been added to the injury report, especially since he has been added on Thursday and is listed as questionable. He does have a favorable matchup against a poor Colts run defense on Sunday, so there is a reason Maroney owners need to pay attention to any further developments before setting your roster for Week 9.

can somebody ease my fears please

Me having sex with my wife tonight is also questionable, but probable. I think I'm a go as are most all injury list players on the Pats & Colts. I hope they don't all do my wife tonight also :banned:

FWIW:

(Rotoworld) The Patriots have added Laurence Maroney (thigh) and left tackle Matt Light (hand) to the injury report as questionable for Week 9.

Impact: Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe speculates the additions could be part of New England's "back-and-forth" injury-report charade with Indianapolis. Maroney and Light both missed at least a portion of 11-on-11s Thursday, but were present for the part of practice open to the media, almost always a sign the players should be able to go on game day.

I understand that this is all part of the game that they are playing against each other but would you keep your guys out of practice ?

Ironic that the Colts are doing it too, after all pizzatime's complaining about BB...
The Colts have actually been far more abusive of it this year than anyone else...it's part of Polian's complaining about the Pats over-using it in past years. As ususal, Polian goes a bit over-the-top on things.I do agree the NFL should do something about it. The injury list is a joke at this point, with a number of teams listing guys nearly arbitrarily.Brady has been 'probable' every single game since he hurt his shoulder a couple years ago. But not his entire career.

Maroney was not listed on the final Friday injury report on Myfantasyleague.com:
