RB T. Bell Expected To Start? RB M. Bell Inactive?

Mike Klis, Denver Post - [Full Article]

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reported last night that Mike Bell may not be active today? Instead RB Damien Nash was promoted from the practice squad, and may be in the line-up today. He also says RB Tatum Bell is expected to start?

Mike Bell could reportedly be inactive at Oakland Sunday. For the second day this week, the Denver Post reports "Tatum Bell is expected to start."

Damien Nash, signed from the practice team late Saturday night, has a chance to replace Mike, not Tatum, on Denver's game-day roster. Mike is in danger of not even dressing for Denver's afternoon game. Nov. 12 - 12:57 am et

If this is true, now might be the time (if you haven't already) to fill an open roster spot with Cedric Cobbs. If Tatum has ANY problems with his turf toe, it's Cedric's show.

Nash, a 5-10, 220-pound second-year back from Missouri, was cut by the Tennessee Titans early in training camp. In Broncos preseason, Nash rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. There's a chance Nash could replace Mike Bell on the Broncos' game-day roster today. Tatum Bell is expected to start.
Seems more of an opinion that anything else...
For what its worth, there was speculation by rotowold that Tatem was going to be the one that was inactive, but the story changed within a few hours. Not sure what info they have to make that assumption....

Tatum Bell is expected to be the Broncos' starting running back Sunday.Tatum now appears all but certain to play and start after practicing fully the entire week and being upgraded to probable Friday. If his turf toe flares up again, Tatum may lose carries to Cedric Cobbs and/or Damien Nash, and possibly not Mike Bell, who is in danger of being "down." Worth noting is that if the Broncos were to sit Tatum for the second straight week after listing him as probable, they might face repercussions from the league office, likely in the form of a fine. At this point, Tatum is a high-upside but high-risk fantasy start Sunday afternoon at Oakland. Nov. 12 - 12:31 am etSource: Denver Post

What the heck is the black dot envelope icon thingee?
Look at the main page of the forums. Notice how every thread has the picture of an envelope beside it (blue for short threads, red for long threads, green for polls). You'll notice that some of those envelopes have black dots in the middle- these mark threads that you have posted in. A common means of tracking threads is simply posting in them so that you can scan down the page and just look for threads with the black dot. Usually, when someone is just posting in a thread so they can track it, they'll either say "Black Dot" or they'll use the :blackdot: smiley.
This came out of right field. What the hell?
Agreed. I haven't heard a WORD of this from any reliable source. I don't think this is even as credible as Chris Mortenson saying that Cutler was going to play against Cleveland (and then again saying that Cutler was going to play against Indy, or possibly Pittsburgh, or maybe...).What I think happened here is that they noticed that Damien Nash has been promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, and then concluded that Denver was dissatisfied with its current RBs, and Nash was promoted to take their place. Normally, when Denver promotes someone fresh off the practice squad, that person is one of the game-day inactives for a while afterwards. I would be SHOCKED if Mike Bell was declared inactive in favor of Damien Nash this week. I'm not talking about surprised, I'm talking about absolutely, positively, 100% on the floor shocked. I could be wrong, but I don't believe it for a second.

here's what I am seeing, i came to check out if Tatum was out because of this:

From another site:

Tatum Bell Out for Wk.10?

BREAKING NEWS: The Broncos signed two players off their practice squad on Saturday, DT Antwon Burton and RB Damien Nash. Why is this big news? Well, the Broncos have Mike Bell, Cedric Cobbs and Tatum Bell at RB already, so does the signing of Nash signal that Tatum Bell won't be active for Week 10 because of his toe injuries? No official word has come from the Broncos camp about this move, but the timing off it does send off some alert bells for Bell owners.

Just curious......Would you rather Rotoworld post this, enticing you to run out and buy Cobbs or Nash and pull Mike Bell and insert Tatum into your lineup OR just wait and see what really happens and then post it? I realize that we want to know everything, but I see a lot of speculation here. I've been in leagues where it is first come first serve on waivers and it's imperative to get a jump on everyone, but you can also get run ragged chasing "maybe" stories. Wouldn't it be better to just inform you that the Broncos just picked up two guys? My advice: stay away from any Bronco players until Shanny leaves. :D He's a nut.

The article in the Denver Post

The Denver Post reports Broncos RB Tatum Bell is expected to start Sunday against the Raiders. Meanwhile, RB Damien Nash (5-10, 220), who was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, could replace RB Mike Bell on the Broncos' game-day roster. The team intends to fill one of its practice squad openings with RB Andre Hall, an undrafted rookie out of South Florida who signed with Chicago.

The article as it should actually read before the Post transposed names IMO

This came out of nowhere!

You'd think Denver would want to rest Tatum Bell against an easier foe (OAK) this week?!? As long as I know who's in and who's out by gametime, I'm OK, but this doesn't make any sense? This looks like Denver is already looking past this game. Possible upset in the making?

Cant name other FF sites but saw on one its Tatum Bell who is inactive. Its a speculation announcement so its clear that this is still anybody's guess which one is out.

ESPN is reporting that the Broncos just signed former Oakland Raider RB Nick Bell to the practice squad. The team also looked into former Tampa Bay Bucs RB Ricky Bell, but hit a, quote, "dead end" in their attempts to sign him.

My advice: stay away from any Bronco players until Shanny leaves. :D He's a nut.
I agree and HOPE that it's 10+ years before Shanny leaves! I wouldn't want anyone else coaching the Broncos.I love fantsy football and try to avoid Denver RBs (but sometimes I can't pass them up), but as a Bronco fan I feel we have a coach that gives us a chance to win against anyone every week.
