BOOOOO!!!!Fat Andy just said Mcnabb tote his ACl and is obvioulsly out for the year
the only bigger thing I could think of is if LT2 or LJ went down for the year..Obviously catastrophic for any McNabb owner..This could be the most significant fantasy event of the year. McNabb owners have been dominating every league I'm in.
I'm not so sure about LT as many owners have him cuffed with Turner.the only bigger thing I could think of is if LT2 or LJ went down for the year..Obviously catastrophic for any McNabb owner..This could be the most significant fantasy event of the year. Always have an adequate backup. This could be the most significant fantasy event of the year. McNabb owners have been dominating every league I'm in.
LT >>>>>> Turner IMHO!I'm not so sure about LT as many owners have him cuffed with Turner.the only bigger thing I could think of is if LT2 or LJ went down for the year..Obviously catastrophic for any McNabb owner..This could be the most significant fantasy event of the year. Similar to McNabb going down in 2002. I had him and Priest that year... what a nice run that was. This could be the most significant fantasy event of the year. McNabb owners have been dominating every league I'm in.
Yeah, but Adequate doen't always cover the highest scoring QB in the league :(Always have an adequate backup. This could be the most significant fantasy event of the year. McNabb owners have been dominating every league I'm in.
Im in the same boat. Ive looked ahead, his schedule isnt to bad.Oh well. Guess Ill have to try to win this bad boy with Rivers![]()
I'm with you on that... might be that someone (either here on this board, or in the media) wants to first to hit the story out.Not sure how they know it's torn yet. It might be but how can they tell so soon? Normally, we don't hear about tears until 1 - 2 days after the game.
As long as McNabb hasn't been carrying you, you should be fine with Rivers.Oh well. Guess Ill have to try to win this bad boy with Rivers![]()
CBS reporting it's torn as well. They won't know for sure 100% until the MRI, but in a lot of cases you can pretty much tell without the MRI. There's exceptions to that, like Edge a few years ago, but there ya go.Not sure how they know it's torn yet. It might be but how can they tell so soon? It was also reported in the indy/dallas game.I'm with you on that... might be that someone (either here on this board, or in the media) wants to first to hit the story out.Not sure how they know it's torn yet. I tore my ACL my freshman year in college playing hockey. I passed the puck up and was all alone in the corner. As I pivoted to face the other way and start skating up ice, I dislocated my knee cap and tore my acl. It was a minor tear, but it just goes to show you. There was no contact, I just pivoted and my knee cap slid out of place and tore my acl. It doesn't always take massive trauma to cause an injury. That was a weird play to tear your ACL on too.
True... you see the injury.. and nowadays... 8 out of 10 times you guess it right, torn or not. Glad I don't own him, but I noticed McNabb owners in 2 of my 3 leagues didn't even have a backup QB, the other has Leinhart.CBS reporting it's torn as well. There is a simple test that is done involving manipulating the knee area and testing its resistance to allowing the tibia to be pulled away. It is extremely accurate and the MRI will simply identify how severe the tear is (it quite possibly was completely ruptured). The irony for me is incredible as I was leading my league with McNabb at the helm. I completely tore my ACL earlier in the year and had surgery to reconstruct a few weeks ago. This news is not making my own rehab any easier...Not sure how they know it's torn yet. It's probably a big deal for the rest of us who do not play in roto leagues. As I'm sure SSOG will explain soon, just start your backup QB guys. Then if you add up your total QB points for the year, you'll still have a top 5 QB.No big deal.

You know your excited about thisGood for the cowboys...trying hard not to say how great this is...Eagles fans would not be so humble...sux for them.
McNabb is definitely done, but Favre should be fine, so scratch the Rodgers option.Aside from grabbing Garcia, one of the better plays to make at this late date is to grab Jason Campbell off of the waiver wire. He looked pretty good today and he won't leave their lineup this year - they're committed to him. The only other names that occur to me as being likely available at this late date are maybe Seneca Wallace or Trent Green; maybe Aaron Rodgers given the Favre injury. Wild cards might include Cutler or Culpepper. It's a rotten time for this to have happened given that it's after most leagues' trading deadline.
please list all FA QBs and your waiver wire order, along with full league rules...As a McNabb owner Im going to use Rivers as my starting QB the rest of the year. Hes 11th in my scoring system so he should be fine and hes actually outscored McNabb his last 2 weeks. As my backup I am going to pick up Jason Campbell. I have zero interest in Garcia.
Hey #####. I figured other McNabb owners would wanna know what other owners are doing. Im just listing my situation. I really am not looking for one bit of advice.please list all FA QBs and your waiver wire order, along with full league rules...As a McNabb owner Im going to use Rivers as my starting QB the rest of the year. The other problem is how McNabb got injured. He got bumped and did a somersault. If that puts you out for the year you are deifinitely fragile. I think the Eagles are done and it is dicey to count on McNabb in the future. He is a good guy, but I think the Eagles have to start looking to the future. From a fantasy perspective, it is uge news, but from an NFL perspective, it's just as big.How many players in the NFL would have as drastic of an effect on their team if they weren't there, as McNabb will have? We saw what happened last year when McMahon had to come in.I would guess that only Manning, Brady, and, possibly, Steve Smith would have as much of an impact on their teams.Philly was 5-4. I predict they will finish 6-10.
Which part is not true, you moron? Have you torn an ACL? Are you a doctor?http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/501970Drunken Cowboy said:This is not true at all. That being said he is probably done. There is a simple test that is done involving manipulating the knee area and testing its resistance to allowing the tibia to be pulled away.
