SJAX seems like a lock here.

SA/Portis are not far behind. As long as they keep Al Saunders, next year should be vastly improved. Portis is a proven 1,500 yard 15 td guy in a great RB system, which is what I expect the Skins to become.

In terms of Dynasty, SA shouldn't fall very far.

The FBG staff said they were told to project 3 years. So they project SA #3. He gets hurt, does that mean he should drop to 10-12? He came back, got 200 yards, seems like he still has 2-3 very solid years left. If SA is healthy, he's a lock for 15 TDs. There's only 2 other RBs I'd say that for. Dynasty rankings should move very slowly. You can't lose 5 spots in 2 weeks. And an injury that has no long term effects, shouldn't do much to your ranking.

Beyond sjax/portis/sa, I don't see who else would be in my top 5.

Stephen Jackson is about as close as u can get to LT2 in terms of a dual threat. hes a complete back with the right coach now. he will only get better once he has Orlando Pace plowing his way as well.

i think hes really young for a starting back in the NFL with 3 years experience as well.

he'd be my pick.

Third would be a tough place to pick right now. The sure thing, absolutely dominating RBs seem to be gone. The rest of the season may tell us more about SA after the monster year last year, I voted for him because hes done it before. Id certainly try to trade out of this spot though.

Toss up b/w Gore and Jackson, IMO...Alexander is in the mix if you want to win now...but his career is on the downslope...

Was torn between SA and SJax. Went with SJax just because the age. But now feel like i shouldn't have. If i was drafting right now, i would choose SA. He'll put up more TD's for the next couple years, and thats all i care about for now..

I can't take a 30 year old RB at #3 in a a new dynasty draft. The dropoff is too steep and there's usually not much warning. Cripple your team for years. Jackson or Portis for me.

I'm not as enthusiastic about SJax as so many. He takes too many hits head on. I don't think he is anywhere close to LT2 as far as repetoire of moves and his O-Line is a big ?.

I'd say SA. He's proven, in a stable system, and has his O-Line signed for a while.

SA turns 30 in Aug 2007. I really view them both him and SJax pretty close over the next year or two but after that the fact that SA is 30+ just puts him out of the top 3 for now. I can argue that Portis is the next guy to be taken.

Like Gore here, can see the reasoning behind Alexander/Portis/Jackson...

Alex: his career years, in all likelyhood, are behind him, team should be solid for the rest of career.

Jackson: safe pick, don't see a ton of upside, but with a good QB he should produce top 5-10 numbers for the next 5 years, barring injury

Portis: If Campbell is a bust, Portis will suffer. Again, don't see the upside that Denver provided

Gore: more talent than the other three, imo, A. Smith looks like he will pan out, best chance to be the uber-stud RB, aside from LT/LJ, can't overlook his two mechanical knees
