These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on in the 1st thread. So lets keep that going as we vote. I droped some players who didn't get votes in the last one.

Sorry, with Larry Fitzgerald chosen as #3 overall, it's hard to take this exercise seriously anymore.

Why do you think this? A lot of people voted for Fitzgerald. 39 out of 104 voters in fact after a quick glance.Perhaps that is in error. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts as to why you do not think Fitzgerald deserves to be the third Wr ranked for standard dynasty leagues.

It's a consensus opinion. Take it FWIW. I'm surprised that Boldin isn't winning this, but I'll take Roy, Holt, Walker, Wayne, and AJ ahead of him. (in that order)

Holt. Its amazing how easily the first half of this season was forgotten already. He was far and away the #1 WR in the NFL. He's still got plenty of gas left in the tank.

Wayne for #5.

I would have put Boldin #3 instead of Fitzy.

Voted Boldin #4, though it's very close with Holt & Roy Williams.

I'd take Holt at #2 let alone at #4 or later. He's young and a few games aside he's one of the most consistantly top performers in the league. About a month ago Holt may have been #1 over Smith and CJ may have been outside the top 10. Does a few games change the big picture in a dynasty format that much?

With Cutler in Walker could be the man. I voted Holt but have no problem with Fitz #3. The top tier of 7 or 8 is probably pretty even imo.

Few people understand that Boldin is just as valuable as Fitz and not a case of one being the #1 and the other being #2.

A lot of people voted for George Bush, too; that doesn't make him any less of a nimrod.Fitzgerald may not even be the best receiver on his own team, and certainly will have to compete for touches for several years. He's currently rated as the #37 receiver this year; sure, he missed 3 games, but it's not like his numbers are amazing otherwise. (They annualize to 86 receptions, 1200 yards, 4 TD). The real choice is Torry Holt, but even if you want to aim at youth (not that Holt is old), there are better choices than Fitzgerald. (Boldin and R.Williams are two).

I agree that the next 6 or so could really be a tossup. At this stage, I'd rate them Roy, Wayne, Holt, Boldin, Walker and Owens to end the upper tier.

Very close between Holt and Wayne at this point. Will leave this going for more votes and see if one distances themselves from the rest.

I agree with comments being made that this upper tier of Wrs are all so good that it is hard to differentiate between them. Taking that into consideration I would look at the factors that break ties:

1. age - if they are equal then why not go with the youngest one?

2. track record.- if they are all equal then I might feel safest with the one who is most proven.

3. stability of players situation and role. - the team around the player and its stability are important.

Good criteria, the only thing I'd add is 4. Expected changes. Is the QB improving, entering his prime, or aging? What about the OLine?

Good points all, but the challenge for most dynasty owners is that points 1 & 2 usually function in opposition to one another. If I guy has a good track record, it's usually because he's been around the track. T.O. is great, but at best he's got 3 years left. Would you rather have him or someone like Fitz who could have 10? Or Colston who could have 12+? Or was this year a fluke? I think you see my point. Generally, the more proven, the older the player. That said, it would be very tough for me to put TO or DJax here due to their age and injury history (of course I didn't vote for Smith at 1 for the same reason
