Wow, this one was really a toss up for me... I had trouble deciding between Leinart, Romo, Vick and Bulger.

could someone explain voting Rivers over Leinart or Eli?

Not to say they're wrong, but I just don't see it.

With Eli, a lot of votes may be going away from him due to the last few weeks, but that seems short sighted.

i honestly like Vick here.....if you look at the games he is passing/putting the ball right where it needs to be this year. His wr's just drops the ball. He still is a top 5 qb in my leagues.

i know he wont get no love on here but IMO he is one of the more steady producers. It would have been Bulger for me but with Martz gone and SJAX going wacky i would go Vick here over Bulger Eli or for sure over Rivers.

Rivers plays on the #1 scoring offense, has a good young and improving line, top notch weapons in Gates/LT, a good young defense, a high completion %/QB rating. What's not to like? I don't think that you can count on LT to break the scoring record each year or that they can continue to score in the red zone every time just handing it off to LT. Rivers is outperforming both of them this year and there's no reason to think that he won't continue to outperform them in the future IMO. Rivers seems to have everything going for him.

Fair enough. Gates/LT are great receivers, and the OL is much better than either the Giants or Cards, so good points. Is Rivers truly outperforming Eli? Eli has slightly more yards, 3 more TDs, although he does have 9 more INTs. Seems pretty close. LT isn't going anywhere, while Eli will have to throw more (IMO) when Tiki retires. Leinart's only played in 8 games (9, but not much in that game), IF we extrapolated his performance to 12 games, he'd have more yards, but less TDs and more INTs than Rivers, so OK. I suppose my question is how much better can Rivers get as opposed to Leinart? I highly doubt Leinart keeps the same TD/INT ratio next year and beyond. I'm looking at the future, hoping for Carroll in AZ (although I doubt it), and seeing both Eli and Leinart as better than Rivers. We disagree, I didn't mean to make it sound like Rivers was a bad option here, just looking for reasons.

:goodposting: I see Leinart (system depending) more like a Palmer type, while Rivers seems to be more on the Brady track. I favor Leinart slightly, but I like them both. Haven't quite figured out whether to put Eli above them (potential) or below (recent performance).Anyway, voted Vick here.
