Thoughts on Jeff Garcia for the fantasy playoffs. (1 Viewer)

Over the past three games he's put up some nice stats:

66 for 111, 59.5% completion percentage, 641 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT, 93.7 QB Rating

He is doing pretty well in Philly's pass-happy system thus far. His fantasy playoff schedule starts out nicely @Washington, and diminishes when he visits NYG then Dallas.

Week 15: Will probably start him over Bulger & Grossman.

Week 16: Thinking people will want to find another option this week. Bulger plays Washington so I'll go with him.

I would hate to see my season end in the hands of Garcia who has had a nice short run but has not had fantasy football relevance in forever. Unless Bulger had a terrible matchup I would not want to hang my hat on Garcia.

I've got to decide whether to start Farve or Garcia during next week's playoff matchup I'm in. I'm a wildcard going of against the leagues powerhouse so I'm leaning to Farve. It's do or die for me and I feel that Brett has a better chance of putting up big numbers than Garcia.

I don't have achoice it would seem since my other starters are Losman and Gradkowski. I have LT hopefully to offset the weakness at QB.

Same boat ... first week of the playoffs, and I'm not loving Bulger vs. Da Bears.

Put a waiver request in for Garcia ... if I snag him, I'll start him vs. Washington. Philly does have a pass happy offense, and thus far, it seems as if Garcia is getting better each game. No INT's yet, which is key (we have a -2 in the league I'm considering him).

One other thing to love about Garcia is ... Westbrook. Guy has the skills to turn a 5 yard flare into a 75 yd. TD ... or whatever the yardage is to the house. Stallworth is healthy, RBrown is playing decent ... LJ Smith (though shut out on Monday) also is another top-notch option.

So, again, it's not just Garcia I'm looking to ride ... it's also the system/talent around him that makes an attractive option this week for a Bulger owner like myself.

I had benched Stallworth this past week for Chris Henry, almost cost me my game. Now it looks like I have to put him back in. Garcia looked real good Mon night

I wouldnt mind starting him against the Skins this week if I had him

I'm in the same boat since I lost McNabb. Have to choose between Gerrard, ABrooks, and Garcia.

Not a difficult choice when looking at my options but Garcia did look good on MNF.

Let's hope it continues.

I have to choose between Garcia or Rex Grossman. I think I will go with Garcia.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm seriously considering starting Garcia vs. Wash over Bulger vs. Chicago. Usually my philosophy is to ride the horse that brought you there, but maybe not in this case.

I dont think thats that crazy. Did Bulger really "bring you there"?My dilemma will be next week (I have a bye this week) as I will have to choose between Garcia vs. NYG or Rivers (whos stunk recently) vs I believe KC. At least I got another week to let things play out.

Didn't almost cost me the game, but I did the same thing. I'm starting Stallworth this week.

Yep I thought Garcia would be a worthless option. He has proven me wrong.

starting him over jason campbell.

really tough call for me.

As a former McNabb owner.....I'm leaning on starting Favre at SF (probably playing from behind). But, Garcia (at Wash), Alex Smith (home to GB's horrid pass D), Leinart (home to the Seahawks, V. Young (at Houston), and Delhomme (home verse the Giants)........are either on my roster or free agents.

Out of that list.......I'm ranking them as follows:

Favre at S.F. (some light rain is expected, but he'll be playing catch-up, S.F pass D ranked 22nd)

Garcia at Washington (sunny and 48 degrees, Wash pass D ranked 24th)

Alex Smith verse Green Bay (light rain....GB pass D ranked 30th)

Leinart home verse Seahawks (70 degrees...maybe playing catch-up, Seattle pass D ranked 17th)

Delhomme home verse the Giants (53 degrees and sunny, Giants pass D ranked 23rd)

Young at the Texans (70 degrees with some expected rain, but, retractable roof. Texans pass D ranked 27th)

All these attractive options are making my head hurt!
