#1) Joe Thomas. The Lions have a chance to draft the best offensive lineman in the draft. Joe Thomas is a team leader and everything you look for out of your first round pick. Teaming Thomas with Backus, Raiola,Woody(after reworking his contract), and Jon Scott would be one heck of an offensive line to build your team around. Many say the Lions should take Quinn, but I guess the way I see it is the Lions are picking #1, and they have Kitna, Orlovski, and McCown. Mike Martz has made a career out of backup QBs. I do not see how they take Quinn. Kitna is 34 I understand but he was the least of the Lions problems this year.

#2) Prepare Mike Williams to be the #2 WR. Do what they have to do to keep him in shape. When he comes into 2007 he needs to be in the best shape of his life and eager to win. That will move Furrey into the slot and this Lions offense will be one of the more dangerous ones around.

I dont know and need your help filling in the blanks. The Lions need to find a QB for the future I know. I would like to see them pursueing Matt Schuab but am unsure of the compensation and I think its Vick who gets shopped this offseason. They really have a talented team and just need to get guys to play to their potential. They need pass rushers and an Inside LB - but with only 23 million in CAP room I dont see them improving too much. I think that 2007 roster is going to be all too similar to the 2006 roster. I dont see how they improve tihs team much.

Mike Williams is toast. They've tried preparing him to be the WR4 for the last two years and he hasn't responded. I see no reason to believe he'll suddenly find motivation to turn in to a good football player.

I agree with Colin - I can't see them bringing Mike Williams back, unless he makes MAJOR improvements in work habits this offseason. I also don't think Damien Woody will be back either.

I think the Lions need to bring in a servicable vet type RB in case Jones isn't 100%, since Bryson and Calhoun were also injured this past year.

The secondary and linebackers need an upgrade as well... they LBs are fast, but outside of Sims are injury prone and unproductive.

This is also a big offseason for Shaun Rogers... will he regain All-Pro form or continue to slip?

I think they'll end up bringing back the same set of QBs, and outside of that they can really only count on maybe Roy Williams and Jason Hanson. I'd like to see Furrey back, although he'd be better suited as a #3... actually, he'd be ideal in that role. Could they get Jerry Porter straightened out? (although I suspect Porter ends up in TB if Gruden stays).

1) I would like to see Matt Millen resign....admit he has little talent. :bag:

2) If Millen did not resign first....I would fire him on Monday

3) I would then sell the team to someone who knows better

4) No problem calling it Ford Field it's part of the program

5) I would hire a guy like Dave Dombrowski who knows better

6) Gosh first round draft pick - there's so much need to fill

Brady Quinn or trade down - I'm just not sure right now :(

7) If #3 is not a possibility I would continue on to #5

8) I would still wonder if Barry Sanders can still play :bye:
