"The feel good stories"

Hurricane supported Saints vs. Will Manning finally win one?

Winner: Saints

The NFL will pro-long the "Manning ever win one until next year."

I think you could feel good if Marty Schottenheimer finally made it to the Super Bowl also. Much like perennial 'choker' Bill Cowher did last year.

It's too bad Brees won't get to face his former team though...

I mentioned this to some of my friends at the bar tonight during the game. I see the story unfolding.

Will it happen? Probably not, but it would mean my INDIANAPOLIS Colts made the Superbowl. and, I would be estatic!

I feel good because:

+ Manning finally wins a super bowl.

+ Saints finally win a super bowl.

+ Seahawks finally win a super bowl and ends Seattle's title drought stretching back to 79.

+ Chargers finally win a super bowl and ends San Diego's title drought that stretches back to a 68 AFL title that no-one really counts anymore.

+ Rex Grossman overcomes adversity and becomes Cinderella in leading the Bears to the Super Bowl title.

+ The Patriots pretty much cement the legacy as team of the decade winning their 4th title.

Fantastic. Just so I get this straight - the league has a vested interest in St. Louis, Baltimore, New England, and Tampa Bay winning the Super Bowl? Or did it start earlier than that? Or is it just this year?

The NFL doesn't fix games. People who use that as an excuse look ridiculous.

It's not an excuse as I'm not a fan of either team or the NFC. Some people on the boards feel this way. I'm just starting to see it.

The Saints will be in the superbowl against the Colts.

Go hang out in Roswell. The whole idea is insulting to fans of either team.Hey, if either team loses, do you shut up forever about this, or just until they start winning again? And:There's no way the Colts make the Bowl. Chargers or Pats would handle them.

No I'd shut up about it, it's my first time thinking this after reading threads on it this week. Some sounded pretty reasonable.

I hope it's Chicago and San Diego or New England

Hmmm. That sounds familiar. Where did I hear that before?Oh yeah, now I remember. That's the same line of thinking Ravens fans kept repeating last week.

I don't know about you, Pizzatyme, but I'll never root for the Patsies any harder than I will today, just so I'll be able to see an AFC championship game in person for the first time in my life.

AFC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NFCIf the team out of the NFC wins the SB it would be a complete shock.I would love to see the Colts there for sure!

I agree than AFC >>> NFCBut if the St. Louis Cardinals can win the world series when AL >>>>> NL then in one single game, an NFC team could definitely win.anything can happen in one game.

The real question is, if it ends up being Bears vs. Patriots, would there be a stadium big enough to hold all of the whiny tool fans?

 On this thread.. Saints Vs. Colts Super Bowl sounds about right.

Bears showed me nothing today against weaker competition and It's Colts time to Step up to the plate.

Go Bears and Go Chargers!even NE! Anti-fixed NFL
Nothing would make the NFL happier than the tiny market Saints making the Super Bowl. Feel good stories mean more to the NFL execs than loads of money and higher ratings.
I'm not sure if you've heard lately, but the super bowl does ok with ratings. As far as merchandise is concerned, big names sell merchandise all over the country, if the Saints go, people will buy their stuff just to show support for the city.If the Saints go, I'll bet that it's the highest rated SB ever.
