VERSATILE WARHAWK: Louisiana-Monroe safety Kevin Payne is trying to show he belongs on this Southeastern Conference-dominated squad.

Payne, who played up in the box for the Warhawks much of the time at 215 pounds, also punted.

"I think anyone who is here belongs," Payne said. "I'm just trying to show everyone I can play as well as anyone here."

After the first day of practice, Sigmund Bloom and Cecil Lammey of the Web site www.footballsfuture.com said of Payne, "Terrible day. Got yelled at to finish out plays and seemed to be slow and out of it."

Yeah, I had read that yesterday, and meant to post it. And for anyone who doesn't know (and may care), the nola.com articles are a reprint of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the city's daily newpaper.

Bloom and I stopped in New Orleans for a few hours. Went to Pat O'Brians and Cafe Du Monde. Had a very good time, going to go back and spend a lot more time there! :bag: to NO :banned:
 
Hiring Pasquino,Bloom and Lammey as staff might just be the best thing Joe Bryant has ever done for us hardcore Dynasty Leaguers :thumbup: :thumbup:
