I thought for sure he was going to be released yesterday thereby increasing the value of Maroney. It doesn't look like happened.

Isn't it too expensive for the PATS to release him now, or do I understand the situation incorrectly?

Word is that the Pats were looking for trade opportunities before releasing him. Short of a trade, he should get let go later today.

 
Can't say I mind him leaving. I'd like to see Maroney get his shot. Dillon might stick around and play for a team like Indy or Pittsburgh as a role player.
