Darrell Jackson: The Seahawks might have found a suitor for the talented but injury-prone wide receiver. The issue now is agreeing on compensation. Seattle has reportedly talked to the Jaguars about getting a day one draft pick in return for Jackson. -- John Murphy

This could make sense. Maybe something like a 3rd rounder and Jacksonville gets a veteran to be a mentor to those young WR and Seattle can sign Hackett to a long term deal.

DJax stock will drop IMO. Jacksonville is not exactly a wide open offense...that said he is far and away better than anything they have on roster.

This injury prone label is far from the truth. He had 4 to 5 solid seasons and then he was injured in 2005. last season he was on pace for career highs. he did have 10 TD which only 5 WR in the NFl posted double digit TD.

He is a good WR, not sure he would flourish as much in Jax...wouldn't be on my short list of places as a dynasty owner.

Matt Jones and Darrell Jacksoncould be a very nice 1 -2 punch.
Excuse me. That will be Reggie Williams and Darrell Jackson. Jones will be #3 because he is not an everydown receiver. He can't go across the middle, he can't block. That is required of a starting Jax receiver.

rookie 700/6

2nd 1080/8

3rd 870/4

4th 1,130/9

5th 1,199/7

6th injured for much of it

7th 950/10

He will only be turning 29 at the end of this upcoming season, there is still plenty of tread on them tires.

I just don't see Reggie Williams taking the #2 slot in JAX.Actually he will probably be #4, imo.He pulled another disappearing act last season, he's a total farce.1. DJax2. MJones3. Wilford4. RWilliams

Seattle is in a closing window of opportunity to get back and win a Super bowl. D Jac is potentially a big part of that window, with him leaving that will be a set back for them. The chemistry that he and Hasselbach have developed will make it hard to replace him. Especially this year since Hasselbach will miss a lot of the mini camps and time to work with Branch and others due to his injuries.

Yeah but not enough oil on those knees though.
Amusing. Can you point to a reference with this? Why would a team trade for him if he is total damaged goods? He had a career high for TD last season. 3 of his last 4 seasons he has avg over 1,000+ yds and 8-9TD, that kind of production is hard to come by.

It was actually just a joke but for the last 2 season he has reportedly had knee problems going into the season and I know I read somewhere that he is close to having a bone on bone condition.

I have read similar stories, so I'm with you, but I also had heard he was never going to play again during the 2006 preseason hype stories and then last season he magically posts 10 TD...I think he still can be a top20 WR for whatever team he is traded to...but Jax would not be a team I would want him to go to really.

I'm with you on that. He should come to Houston. wouldn't want him on my fantasy team but on my real team he'd be an upgrade over what we have now.

Actually this isnt the signing we're looking for but I might take it- but certainly not for a day 1 pick. DJax specializes in the short-to-intermediate routes where he runs very crisp routes and has good hands- something that no Jaguar reciever can claim. However, with Koetter's new offense, his role would probably be displaced by the two great tight ends we have on the roster- Wrighster and Marcedes Lewis- both of whom can block adequately and have the size/speed combination to not only run those intermediate routes but also pick up YAC.

He very well might end up the most reliable target on our team, but aside from that, offers no further perks in Koetter's offense. Certainly not worth a day 1 pick for the Jags.
