Redraft $$ league draft completed (1 Viewer)

We started at the kick-off of the NFL draft in this money league 12x20 PPR with 1 UTIL slot redraft. The only quirk is that rookies are in a separate draft next month with round 16 and then in June for round 17, etc through round 20 right before the regular season at one a month. That puts rounds 17-20 as unusually valuable especially the first few picks in each as new players emerge in mini-camps. There are no open waiver wire rounds until mid August.

Transactions:

The other interesting thing is that for the most part the FBG rankings did not come out until Monday when we were about halfway through. This is a non FBG league though.

Gotcha ... I bet he would have gone higher had the trade happened earlier in our draft ... question is whether he's worth it in the Pats system.

Tony G in the 7th?

Jamal Lewis in the 4th? He may be slow and worn down, but he's still going to be the starting RB on a team that's going to run A LOT.

Actually both are my team so I'm glad you like haha. I regret not being in position to snag MB3 and/or Kevin Jones but I think I like my team so far. I took Ahman and Jamal for one reason that they aren't in a noted RBBC. While they may not be what they once were I think they can give me great value.

My favorite:

The interesting thing about this team basically dealt LT and 4.12 (MB3/JLewis range) for Alexander and Portis. He drafted Turner as early as he did on Saturday during the rumors a deal was almost done with Tennessee. The Killer Whales gave up Year 2007 Draft Pick 1.05;Year 2007 Draft Pick 2.08;Year 2007 Draft Pick 4.08;Year 2007 Draft Pick 16.08Oregon Reign 2 gave up Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB; Year 2007 Draft Pick 4.12;Year 2007 Draft Pick 6.12;Year 2007 Draft Pick 16.12

Vet redraft done ... round 16 starts may 15th. This will be your odd redraft rookie draft so those drafting will be focusing on players who can see the field this year only. Round 17 will be june 15th.

Feel free to rate my team ... I'll hope to add WR depth in the WW drafts over the next few months but I should be able to go 3 RB and 2 WR even in the bye weeks.

Player Bye Pick

Campbell, Jason WAS QB - 4 15.02

McNabb, Donovan PHI QB - 5 5.09

Schaub, Matt HOU QB - 10 12.02

Duckett, T.J. DET RB - 6 15.11

Green, Ahman HOU RB - 10 5.02

Jackson, Steven STL RB - 9 1.02

Lewis, Jamal CLE RB - 7 4.11

White, LenDale TEN RB - 4 6.11

Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR - 8 3.09

Galloway, Joey TBB WR - 10 8.11

Johnson, Chad CIN WR - 5 2.11

Gonzalez, Tony KCC TE - 8 7.02

Scheffler, Tony DEN TE - 6 14.11

Vinatieri, Adam IND PK - 6 12.11

Chargers, San Diego SDC Def - 7 9.11

The Duckett pick was a flier ... we'll see how KJ heals over the next few months. If I need the roster spot I didn't really pass on anyone obvious. I traded down a bit early then up a bit in the mid rounds as the tier of WR's Fitz was on was sliding then I moved up to snag McNabb and passed up trading down when Tony G was available. I really wanted Bears DT but had to take Chargers when I did as I was concerned there would be a run before my next pick.

It continues to amaze me how high MJD is going in drafts.

If someone in my league wants to blow a 1st on him, have at it.

When I traded down I was going to take Fitz and somehow he fell past Harrison, TO, Wayne, and Housh at WR not to mention Brees and the 3 RB's in Deuce, Deangelo, and Brandon Jacobs. I really wanted Gates but just couldn't risk trading down any further.

On the 15th (tomorrow) around 11 AM EST our WW/Rookie draft Round 1 will kick off.

Any undrafted veteran player/PK/DT plus the incoming rookie class will be eligible. It will be very interesting to see how players are taken. I wouldn't be shocked to see Lynch go #1 and Jackson go #2. Since this is a pure redraft this bonus draft will be fairly unique. Who can help you THIS year enough to carry on a 12x20 roster spot team?

With pick #11 I'll have a few of the lower tier RB's, the large 2nd tier of WR's, or possibly one of the QB's among my options.

I may actually look to trade down for pick 20.01 which would be the August 15th 1st round pick. I already own the 2nd pick in most remaining rounds good if there are late undrafted surprises like a Willie Parker, Colston, etc emerging.

If anyone wants to take a stab at ranking how they would order the rookies for THIS year only feel free otherwise I'll post the results in about 30 hours.

No major surprises so far other than the number of WR's to go before the 2nd tier of RB's. Remember that this is a redraft so they must contribute this season.

I was hoping for Chris Henry since I have FatDale but I put Irons 2nd and got him. I don't think Leonard even though I have SJax is a good value. Since I pick 2nd in each other round the June 15th draft will give me another decent player.

I doubt I'll go QB since I have 3 but Leftwich could be a nice bargain. There are others out there though like Huard, Trent Green, Quinn/Frye, and Russell so I can't imagine taking another QB.

At this point the WR choices have thinned a bit with Drew Carter and Troy Williamson perhaps the top vets left and the top rooks being perhaps Ginn, Steve Smith NYG, Jacoby Jones, and Craig Davis.

I'll have until June 15th to see how things develop but Bush, Pittman, and Booker are definately viable as is perhaps Dee Dee Dorsey at this point before digging a bit deeper for Wolfe, Herron, etc.

16.01 181. *Killer Racoons Lynch, Marshawn BUF RB ® Tue May 15 11:21:37 a.m. CT 2007

**The obvious #1 and a nice value.

16.02 182. *VTCares Johnson, Calvin DET WR ® Tue May 15 1:53:33 p.m. CT 2007 Really thought I'd end up with Lynch because I figured in this heavy points for WR league that the Killer Coons would snag CJ.

**I might have taken ADP but you can't argue this as he should be atleast a UTIL option if not better.

16.03 183. *Cleveland Showtime Peterson, Adrian MIN RB ® Tue May 15 1:53:33 p.m. CT 2007 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

16.04 184. *Mad Brad's Stealth Bombers Jackson, Brandon GBP RB ® Tue May 15 1:53:33 p.m. CT 2007 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

**Tough to pass on him but there is risk that Morency, Herron, or a RB not yet on the roster has an impact.

16.05 185. *The Gunslingers Bowe, Dwayne KCC WR ® Tue May 15 3:08:04 p.m. CT 2007

16.06 186. *Killer Racoons Meachem, Robert NOS WR ® Tue May 15 3:08:04 p.m. CT 2007 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

16.07 187. *Slicing Hookers Jarrett, Dwayne CAR WR ® Tue May 15 3:22:09 p.m. CT 2007

16.08 188. *Oregon Reign 2 Gonzalez, Anthony IND WR ® Tue May 15 3:22:09 p.m. CT 2007 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

**Do any of these WR's truly belong above the 2nd tier of RB's in a redraft format? I would have taken Gonzalez higher than Jarrett if nothing else.

16.09 189. *TurkeyBowl ROCKS Henry, Chris TEN RB ® Tue May 15 6:54:48 p.m. CT 2007

16.10 190. *Lago Leonard, Brian STL RB ® Tue May 15 6:57:34 p.m. CT 2007

16.11 191. *Smackdown Irons, Kenny CIN RB ® Tue May 15 6:57:34 p.m. CT 2007 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

**The PPR format makes this an intriguing pick for me. If Rudi goes down he could step right into what we were expecting Chris Perry to become.

16.12 192. *The Killer Whales Rice, Sidney MIN WR ® Tue May 15 7:17:59 p.m. CT 2007 While the Vikings won't make the playoffs, I think Sidney Rice has the best chance to help me now. Especially considering the rest of the Vikings WR's suck. LOL
