This is really like your basic algebraic formula when it comes to Reggie Wayne and the Colts offense. Wayne will always post good stats with marvin Harrison lining up across from him. I have never confused Wayne with Harrison's gifts but in terms of FF, no one in the league benefits more from the WR lining up across from them than Reggie Wayne.

80 receptions 1,200 yds, 8 TD

You can fiddle and tweak with his numbers all day long but in the end these are pretty good solid round numbers you can work with. 5 catches a game, 75 yds and .5TD per week...just keep plugging away.

The Rudi Johnson and Tom Brady of receivers...CONSISTENT

I had him on one of my teams last year, and remember he got tackled at the 1 yard line a few times

Stud WR1. Nothing much more to say90 rec, 1200 yds, 10 tds
Stud ?He has only had 2 seasons in his pro career that I would say qualifies him for stud consideration. To me he is in the 2nd tier of talent when it comes to WR's. He will always play second fiddle to Marvin in that offence75/1100/8

Hmm... Marvin's 13th year I think people have been predicting a dip in his numbers for the last few years to be surprised by his resolve. Just from watching their play though I would say Wayne is ready to eclipse Harrison maybe not by much but he will do so.86/1350/11

Reggie Wayne has had an increase in targets and reception every year for the past four years. He is the beneficiary of an awesome QB and he gets to line up across from Marvelos Marvin Harrison. Oh yeah, Reggie is also pretty good himself.

02 - 16 gms played 70 targets 49 receptions 716 yds 14.6 ypc 4 TDs ranked 50

03 - 16 gms played 105 targets 68 receptions 838 yds 12.3 ypc 7 TDs ranked 20

04 - 16 gms played 113 targets 77 receptions 1210 yds 15.7 ypc 12 TDs ranked 8

05 - 16 gms played 122 targets 83 receptions 1055 yds 12.7 ypc 5 TDs ranked 21

06 - 16 gms played 137 targets 86 receptions 1310 yds 15.2 ypc 9 TDs ranked 3

I traded for him early in the year last season and he was a key to my championshiop run. I do not believe he will be quite as good a value this season as his ADP may rise quite a bit compared to last year after his WR #3 finish and he could slip slightly this season. His ypc has fluctuated up and down in odd years also for the previous five and last year was a career high yardage and ranking for Wayne.

80 catches for 1040 yards and 8 TDs, another very nice season for the steady Wayne.

:goodposting: There were so many opportunities he had where he was brought down inside the five yard line, it got ridiculous. I ended up trading him the in the week leading up to when he went off on the Broncos.

I had Wayne in my league last year and thought this stat was interesting, so I checked play-by-play of weeks 1 through 16 (no week 17), and came up with the following:Wayne tackled or OB at/inside the 5 yard line:

@ 5 yd. = TWICE

@ 4 yd. = ONCE

@ 3 yd. = ONCE

@ 2 yd. = TWICE

@ 1 yd. = TWICE

So that's 8 total times Wayne was brought down (or out-of-bounds) at or inside the 5 yard line in games last year. Is that number higher than normal for WR1 and WR2 from the same team? Or is that number in line with most WR1's and WR2's (same team)? Maybe there is an easier way to check this rather than browsing play-by-play for each individual WR. (???)

That is just sick! I remember watching about three of those. If he manages to convert a couple of those to scores this year I'll be very pleased.

C'mon guys lets be serious here - we all know Marvin Harrison is the #1 WR on the Colts.
Barely.2 out of the last 3 yrs Wayne has been neck/neck with Harrison's stats. I think odds of a sudden dip while he's in his prime and Harrison is not are slim. Not on par w/the Holts etc quite yet maybe, but very close. Given he will cost less, a great WR1 candidate IMO.
