For WRs & TEs: Receptions, Receiving Yards, Receiving TDsBest of Luck and ENJOY!

I expect a bit of an upswing for Hines this year. I think you can expect WR2 #s from him especially with all the talk of Pitt opening it up on offense. And they certainly have the WRs to take some coverage away from him now.

80 rec, 1000 yds, 8 tds

I love ward because you pretty much know what you're getting from him. In five of the last six seasons ward's yardage totals have been from 975 - 1,163. Last year he was on pace for over 1,100 yards before getting hurt and that was with big ben admittedly coming back too soon from his motorcycle accident. With a healthy roethlisberger ward lasting a full season, ward's production should go up. Also it's good news that the steelers plan to move him around so ward won't have to face double teams constantly.

83 receptions, for 1,150 yards(13.6 ypr) and 7 TDs

with all the SHolmes talk, THIS is the year to snag Hines at value

78 rec

1,134 yds

6 TD

Hines Ward has a few very good things going for him this year. His ADP in redrafts is WR20 which is GREAT value. Plus, the Steeler offense will be much less conservative this year and will open it up more. I am looking for 1000 yds and 10 TDs.

Hines Ward has been an outstanding football player in his career. He's been able to put up solid numbers as well as doing the little things right on the field. However, he's getting a little older and I just don't think the Steeler offense is going to click like it has in the past under the new regime.

70 receptions, 890 yards and 7 tds

Hines is going to represent terrific value this year. Holmes is the upside guy and is going to be taken too soon while Ward is taken too late. The guy may be a little older, but his game has never been reliant on speed and quickness - he's a smart player, a good route runner, and has good hands. With the likely trend upward in his targets this year, I wouldn't be at all shocked to see :

84 rec 1,120 yds 8 TD

Which would represent monster value at WR20 (Current ADP is early 5th round. I will be targeting him with my 5.5 pick and praying he drops there.)

I'll drink the kool-aid.. :banned:

Roethlesberger can't be as bad as last season. Ward would have had over 1000 yards each of the last 2 seasons if he had played in all 16 games.

He's only 31, not like he's ancient. His numbers have been down since Roethlesberger came into town, attribute it to a young quarterback and a run first and second offense.

Roethleserberger's yards and tds improved, but his accuracy and rating dropped. If he shows improvement this year, count on Ward's #s to do the same.

78 receptions 1021 yards 9 tds

Several posters have already mentioned age and I have to ask why? He is 31 entering the 07 campaign, practically prime age for WRs. Maybe, its more that he has had so many productive years, he is entering his 10th season. Also, some of his best seasons had previously been when he had Burress on the opposite side, Holmes will provide that other target.

Count me in the camp with Hines Ward being value this year. He has finished as 3rd, 6th, 28th, 10th, and 22nd among WRs in the past five years and the expectation is that the Steeler offense is going to be cut loose a little more. He has had four seasons over 1000 yards and three with double digit TDs. I also love to watch him compete. His blocking is superb and the best part of him is that smile he has right after a DB has delivered a crunching blow that might send a lot of WRs to the bench for a spell. Great team player with a great attitude about the game.

Hines Ward 140 targets 85 catches 1105 yards and 11 TDs.

The difference is that Burress had the #1 corner on him all the time so Ward got matched up against the 2nd best. Holmes will not draw the #1 corner so I dont think it will improve Ward's numbers very much. He was shakier last year dropping more balls than in previous seasons. Ariens has talked about getting up to 80 catches for the three tight ends he wants to use and throwing the ball to Willie more. I don't see him breaking 1000. 70 950 7

:wub:I was optimistic last year before Ben's injury (and surgery), Tomlin appears ready to open things up more than in previous years, and Ben will be better than last year. I won't expect 2002 level production, but at WR20, Ward is one of my value plays this year. I may have drank more of the kool-aid than Eveilgrin, but Hines might be a borderline WR1 this year:90/1200/11

As has been mentioned last year, he was on pace for 1,100 yards before getting hurt. His TD total was low but I recall him getting tackled inside the 5 more than once. At 31 he should still have a good year or two before entering the decline phase of his game.

Positives:

Healthy Roethlisberger

Consistency

Negatives:

New System

Possible emergence of Holmes

I'll go with 1050 and 9 TDs

He's averaged 74/985/7 the last 3 years. The Steelers will likely be passing more but I suspect the other players will see more beneifts than Ward. IMO, he will do slightly better but not anything earth shattering.

80/1050/8
