MBSL2 - Cumulative Survivor: A slight twist on the elimination. The lowest YTD scoring team will be eliminated every week starting after week 3. No immunity will be in play. Everyone will start with an 8 hour clock. The clock will be suspended every day from 1 AM EDT to 5 AM EDT (this means everyone should have 12 hours over night). If your timer expires, you clock time will be cut in half. The guys at the turn don’t get extra time for the second pick. Clock is on during the weekends.

Draft starts August 6

Starts August 6. Starts were staggered to give people the option of picking a league based on their schedule. If you want to roll early, that's fine, but the clock doesn't go into effect until August 6.

Oops...totally missed the start date in the first post. I just thought we would get going once the league filled up. I wondered why we didn't have any movement on this. Sorry...I guess there was premature dice rolling here.
 
Just curious - but shouldn't there be some verification of the order?

Meaning, shouldn't it be rolled by one person, but results from the dice site sent to at least a few people?

Yes, asking partially due to the bitterness of having the 16th pick. Especially when we shouldn't have even rolled yet since we weren't supposed to start per BNB til next week.

Like I said in earlier, I missed the part of the draft starting Aug 6. I don't think BnB does all the rolls. Usually, when the slots fill up, the draft starts and someone initiates the rolling and away we go. Nobody was doing anything so I rolled to get us started. I didn't realize emailing people was standard/mandatory...so I posted the rolls. If people have problems with this...then we can re-roll. Makes no difference to me....I was just eager to get started.

Shadowfax- First off thanks for taking the initiative and getting us moving. It's appreciated. But it sounds like there are already questions about the roll so it might be best to re-roll with verification emails to BNB or someone who is not in the league. I would suggest BNB just to remove any concerns. Then no one will question how it came down.
 
I agree with everything that's been said, but I'd rather not toss out the results of the die roll on a technicality. Yes, Shadow should have cc'ed someone, but even though I got a lousy draft position (14 of 16), I don't think we need to open the issue of whether it was a fair roll when all Shadow was doing was trying to help.

 
I'll try to remember to re-roll late tonite. I've set a precedent by having someone else roll for the leagues that I'm participating in so we'll follow that here.

Roll 3: 693.

Roll 4: 85.

Roll 5: 403.

Roll 6: 47.

Roll 7: 973.

Roll 8: 318.

Roll 9: 336.

Roll 10: 977.

Roll 11: 551.

Roll 12: 343.

Roll 13: 585.

Roll 14: 865.

Roll 15: 223.

Roll 16: 89.

And I copied myself so it's official.

Hey, no need for that.I have been doing these leagues (MBSL, SSL, WSL, Anarchy, etc) for years. And usually one of three things happens:1) BNB rolls for everyone. He is a very fair guy and has been very good at running these (the ones he runs).2) BNB appoints someone to be in charge of that particular league (ie, do the rolls, post the summary of picks, etc).3) Someone random does the rolls, but they at least get emailed out for verification.I was not trying to be a ##### here when I brought this up. But it was a little odd that someone just took it upon themselves, without running it by BNB or anyone for that matter, and just did the rolling himself - especially without the verification and when it was a week early.I have nothing against you Shadow, so please don't think I was calling you out specifically. I just didn't understand why we weren't following what we always follow.

Sorry. Bad day at work, as someone wrongly blamed me of something. Then I come here and it sounded like people were questioning my integrity (it still sounds this way but so be it)...and I copped a little attitude. I've been doing all these for 5 yrs and I really didn't remember BnB doing all the rolls. I looked at last year and it appears it does...somebody else just orders the rolls and that's what I looked at. No worries HTF...we're good. That shows me not to take initiative anymore. Now back to being lazy.
 
Let's just move on and learn from it. No harm done as far I can see. Like I said, we appreciate that you were trying to do the right thing. We've learned from the past that if you don't keep things on the up and up it tends to leave room for someone to question. It's just better to follow protocol and remove all doubt. So with that said let's all :shrug:

 
On a side note, I'm getting seriously tired of drafting from the #3 slot all the time. Out of six message board leagues in the past fifteen months, this is the fourth time I've landed at #3.
