LB was defending title in a water-slide challenge at park

JACKSON, MISS. -- Saints linebacker Scott Fujita was able to laugh about the most embarrassing injury of his football career when he met with reporters for the first time since suffering a bruised heel at the local water park last week. Fujita did not practice, but he expects to be back in a matter of days.

"It was all in the name of friendly competition," said Fujita, who had apparently earned a reputation as the man to beat in the Saints' water slide challenge last year. "I was the defending champion. I had to defend my belt. I don't know what it is, the aerodynamics of my body or something. But I come down those slides extra fast, and I actually just flew right off the end of the slide into the wooden fence."
Brilliant!!!

I think Peter King's article today on cnnsi.com does this topic justice. People are freaking out over this and shouldn't be.

What's a little bruised heel in the name of team bonding? This is a very close knit team and it certainly seemed to help them win last year. This is such a non-story.
