Michael Turner carted off (1 Viewer)

Michael Turner, RB SD. Looked like an ankle (right foot if memory serves). They didn't show the play it happened on, only a quick shot of him being carted off. No obvious pain on his face.

 
He wasn't carted off the playing field. He was carted from the sideline into the locker room. It happened during a commercial, and when they came back from the break they showed a clip of it. He was sitting on the cart with ice on his ankle and the announcers said they had no idea what the deal was.

With Gross out for the year, it would almost certainly be Sproles, maybe in an RBBC with Pinnock if anything happened to LT. Or maybe Naanee would get some reps there as well in that case, but I think Sproles would be the primary backup.
 
Relax guys.................He got CARTED off because the locker room is a long ways from the sidelines. How would it look if he hopped on one foot to the locker room? If that happened everyone on the board would be asking, "Why did he hop to the locker room when he could have took the cart?" It is called technology and easy access when hurt.

As an LT owner who wasn't able to handcuff him (due to the high cost of Turner) this could be a big deal. Chances are Sproles is on most waiver wires (chances are he probably won't have any value, but it doesn't hurt to take a chance)

I would have been saying "Man that dude has some hops!"
 
Really shouldn't affect his dynasty value, right? If something bad did happen, he would have a whole yr to recover. He already has a body of work from last yr and should still be a mid 3rd pick in most leagues.

Rather it happen now then later in the season or the playoffs.

It would probably hurt his dynasty value somewhat, but he would still have the chance to be a starter in another city. The injury is now being described as a shin injury and is supposedly minor.

GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) - San Diego Chargers backup running back Michael Turner suffered a sprained right ankle during the second quarter of Saturday night's preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Turner, who started because league MVP LaDainian Tomlinson was given the night off, did not return.

X-rays will be performed on Turner's ankle when the team returns to San Diego, but after the game, he told coach Norv Turner he was good to go and ready to play.

 
Someone said shin and then it is reported ankle. Just speculating but possibly the dreaded high ankle sprain?

Why the hell do people keep saying don't overreact in this thread? Someone reports he is carted off and we get that comment. Then someone states it's being reported as a high ankle sprain and we get the same comment? I don't see people overreacting but reporting what appears to be going on.

This place actually used to be cool...Until people decided to be jerks about EVERYTHING. There IS no info (at this point). So, there's speculation on what happens IF. Deal with it, and quit making this place a cocktail party joke.
