I am starting to drink the Leinart koolaid (not nec the Cardinals koolaid). I have watched almost every throw he has made this preseason, and the guy just looks razor sharp. And he looks like he has been playing the position for years with some of the plays I have seen. This one play against the Chargers, the pocket collapses on him lmost immediately. He takes a step back, pump fakes, slides a little, pumps again. Does a nifty spin move to avoid the rush, rolls out, and finds (Boldin, I think) 20+ yards downfield. On that one play he made 3-4 split-second desicions that were all the exact right decision.
We all know how loaded the Cardinals are at WR, and Leinart quietly looked very good as a rookie even after missing most of training camp. of those middle, 7-8 rd-type QBs, I think Leinart is my favorite. Am I crazy? Anyone else starting to get a feeling about the big fella from USC.
BTW, this is not homerism. Leinart was probably my least favorite of the three QBs that came out last year, due to my alma mater (Vandy) and my NFL team (Titans). And I am an SEC guy.
