McIntosh has been the starting WLB since the end of minicamps. He Looked very aggressive. Does anybody know if he is the regular starter or filling in for an injured stsrter?
He's a regular starter, no doubt about it. He was all over the place and if my memory serves me right he didn't miss a tackle. I wouldn't expect the sacks to be a regular thing, he wasn't really blitzing too often and it was the always immobile Trent Green, but I could see him notching a couple more this year. He was all over the place as far as tackles go though. And very aggressive like was said above. If anything I would perhaps downgrade LaRon Landry. If what was seen from Fletcher and McIntosh out there yesterday is a sign of things to come, then not many tackles will make their way to Landry. He Looked very aggressive. I think so. Anthony Montgomery, a 2nd year DT, has greatly improved his game and is the reason why Salave'a got released. He was occupying the middle and getting good push all day long, which freed up Fletcher and McIntosh to make plays. There's no reason to think this won't continue. McIntosh is a very violent tackler and is very active. He figures to get his share of FF's this year.will he continue to make this many tackles?
As long as the d-line can hold up against the run, Rocky should remain effective against the run. Also, as long as the d-line faild to get to the QB, he should rack up tackles in the passing game.I think so. That's the word I was looking for. I can't believe this is the same guy we saw late last year.I think so. Word is he's healthy now, and he spent all of the offseason studying and getting assignment sound. He's now flying and not thinking, which is why he looks so fast.lawrence phillips said:That's the word I was looking for. Sacks and interceptions I would think too. Let's hope he stays healthy. It was reported he will also cover TE's alternating with Fletcher I believe. I would expect a few interceptions too.redman said:I think so. Anthony Montgomery, a 2nd year DT, has greatly improved his game and is the reason why Salave'a got released. Same here. They send him bak in coverage at times too. He may be their best LB sometime this season. The Gator said:First time I have watched him play beside preseason. I like how often he was sent on the blitz. Seem like when he is on nickel packages they use him often as another rusher. He could have leveled Mcnabb on one play in the second quarter, but McNabb got rid of the ball just in time and Rock let up. He was in my lineup this week, and wont be coming out anytime soon.![]()

What's weird is how completely overmatched they looked the one time I saw them this season (vs. OU). With the recruiting they have available to them and the recruits they consistently land, it's amazing that they aren't more successful than they are.Yet another UM linebacker that is playing well in the NFL. They are quickly become Linebacker U, Tight End U, Running Back U, and Defensive Line U...
Well, the recruits they had playing for them during the first half of this decade seem like they're a slightly different breed than the ones we're seeing now . . .Tick said:What's weird is how completely overmatched they looked the one time I saw them this season (vs. OU). he has always been a beast so umm..have i missed something here...he has BEEN an every week starter for two weeks nowHe is getting close to being an every week starter.
Yeah, he's been the starting WLB since the beginning of training camp at least. He worked hard this last offseason and the coaches noticed.he has always been a beast so umm..have i missed something here...he has BEEN an every week starter for two weeks nowHe is getting close to being an every week starter.for me at least!all kidding aside, he is for real
I meant he is getting close to being an every week fantasy starter. As a lifelong homer of the U I have to second that. The Gators always have been the recruiting beasts in Florida. Add all the schools from around the country that recruit heavily down there now and Miami doesn't get as many choices as they did 10-15 years ago. On Rocky -- and several other current NFL Hurricanes -- it is apparent that they were not well used by the previous coaching regime. Leon Williams in Cleveland looks better as a pro than at UM. So do McIntosh and Greg Olsen and Devin Hester in Chicago. Beason in Carolina will be better as a pro than he was in college.Well, the recruits they had playing for them during the first half of this decade seem like they're a slightly different breed than the ones we're seeing now . . .What's weird is how completely overmatched they looked the one time I saw them this season (vs. OU). Yeah, Leon has turned some heads. He was on the field because D'Qwell Jackson got dinged up rather than taking over for Andra Davis. The kid looks very active and makes plays but he's prolly a tad undisciplined which doesn't work in Romeo's scheme. He has talent and hopefully he'll settle in and get his chance to start. Side note, Peek had a foot injury in the Bengal game so his stats were impacted, not sure it its going to linger or not but that would explain his disappearance in the box score. As a lifelong homer of the U I have to second that. Haven't seen him at all. Often they are playing it seems with Fletcher as the only LB.
This one's on the DVR. I was paying more attention to the travashamockery that was the Bengals again this week. Remind me to get back to this if I forget to post or our many observant Redskins experts don't settle the question sooner. It looked like Wash went into dime alot with Fletcher as the only LB. I wasn't watching the game that closely, but I assume this was to match some 3 and 4 WR sets(Shockey counting as a DB matchup?).Jene?
Honestly, I think he was in there a fair amount of the time but was in pass coverage matched up on Shockey. That killed his tackle numbers. This one's on the DVR. Here's what rotoworld has to say about it...Rotoworld) Rocky McIntosh left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter because of pain in both shoulders.Impact: Rookie H.B. Blades replaced McIntosh late. According to the Washington Post, "it appeared [McIntosh] wasn't feeling well physically for much of the game."It looked like Wash went into dime alot with Fletcher as the only LB. They did that quite often in the first half.eddy13 said:I did not see him on 3rd downs at all... I saw London as the sole lb on third downs and in wahs first 2 games rocky was in at all 3rd downs...
