1. Jon Kitna (22-33, 245, TD, INT, 42 snaps) looked a lot better than O'Sullivan (as you would expect). Presumably, he was given access to more of the playbook than JT O'Sullivan (13-23,148, TD, 2INT, 39 snaps). JT played because Kitna was knocked out of the game in the 2nd quarter. The offense ran a lot smoother under Kitna.
2. Roy Williams (7-111, TD, 13 targets, 80 snaps) ran deeper routes than he did last week. His average yard per target was 12.9, almost six yards better than last week.
3. Calvin Johnson (4-61, TD, 10 targets, 52 snaps) ran several go patterns all day. Most of them missed, but you can see his progress from one week to the next. His AYPT was 20.0.
4. Mike Furrey (5-60, 6 targets, 63 snaps) is not ready to give way just yet. He was on the field more than CJ, and was on the field 78% overall. That is impressive for the "third" receiver on this team. His AYPT was only 8.9. He was also involved in 2WR sets more than CJ.
5. Shaun McDonald (7-71, 9 targets, 54 snaps) continues to be a fantasy factor in PPR leagues. His AYPT was 7.2.
formation note - The Lions lined up in a 4WR set 27 times (33% overall),
but
23 of Kitna's 42 snaps were 4WR formations (55%)
while
only 4 of O'Sullivan's snaps were with 4WR formations (10%) . . .
