Game Thread W2 - Washington v Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

Don't know why, but I'm really just excited that the Skins are actually wearing the red uni's for once.

Why doesn't Springs start anymore?? Macklin is taking Smoot's starting spot tonight, so that means Springs is their #4 CB? He was by far their best CB when healthy the last 2 years. Is he still hurt?

This is not a question that ever needs asked. Springs is ALWAYS hurt. :bag:

Assani, I'd still be going to the books for games out there.Did it get old already or are you working tonight?

One of the biggest things I can't stand about MNF is when they toss it down to the sideline reporter they almost always just repeat a story, sometimes verbatim, that has already been reported.

Kornheiser is the biggest thing I hate about MNF.

gah why is the espn pregame always so pathetic? Its getting to the point I just dread watching it.. oh and the announcing crew is perhaps worse

I think I've counted 4 or 5 times different analysts have talked about how the Redskins are a "2 back" team now and how Portis has agreed to split carries for the betterment of the team, etc. etc. Maybe all of us Portis owners who have been hoping that the split is going to become much less 50/50 are wrong? On a positive note, they do follow these comments every time with "but they are going to just run and run and run"....so maybe a 50/50 split of 500-600 carries is ok.........I don't like it.

Tirico is fine, Jaws is the best ever, and I mean ever, Kornhole is a tool and drags the whole thing down to deplorable levels

Philly run D looks solid early on. Campbell looked good, Cooley not so much as he had a big play but dropped the ball.

I love Tony Kornheiser but I could do without him on MNF. He's at his best when he's ranting, and this is no place for rants.

Before I say this, I hate Rush Limbaugh as much as anyone...

But -- why is it o.k. for McNabb to call Kevin Curtis "White Lightning" on national TV when Rush got into all of that trouble for bringing up color?

I guess I don't really give a #### either way, but it seemed a little odd hearing it.

Also isn't that name kinda redundant since lightning is normally white? I mean I understand "white chocolate" because chocolate is normally dar, bu this makes no sense to me.

One's a nickname for Curtis by guys that are teammates, the other was a slam by a stranger that McNabb wasn't good but got press because he was black. Race is a description in one and a factor in the other. Kinda hard to explain the difference because they aren't anywhere near the same. Just using the term white or black doesn't make a statement racist.
