Game Thread W3 - Miami V NY Jets (1 Viewer)

Glad to see Ronnie finally getting all of the rushing attempts. Of course he is on my bench this week, but it is nice to see

Is MIA still rotating backs(carries or not), or did Cam come to his senses and is leaving Brown in the game?
Brown carrying the entire load for Miami ORunning hard, catching screens...Looks very impressive...
I would like to say I didn't give up on Brown, in reality I didn't have any other options worth starting. In any event I am back on the bandwagon!
i did and started ahman. regretting it and i'm a MIA homer. :pickle:

Is Thoms Jones playing?

Jeebus....back to back incredible catches.

Cotchery with an incredible one handed catch before going out of bounds, then Baker with a terrific bobble one handed catch with a defender draped on him, and got his feet in. Sick plays.

I benched Ronnie for D. Ward.

Had to...he cost me a win last week.

Now I'm of course regretting it. F'in figures Cam gets wise this week. It'll be worth it though if he sticks to it next week.

Yes, but hasn't been part of the offensive game plan...

I suppose the Jets fans aren't actually Booing the Jets GM and Owner as they take part in the ceremony honoring Wayne Chrebet. I'm sure they are just saying "Woooooooooooody"

-QG

Onsides kick, Jets TE Baker bats the ball out of bounds (wisely, IMO). It's a flag since he batted it forward, but only a re-kick. Great kick by the Fins, almost got it.

Chad runs for a TD!
I don't understand why people want him gone at QB. He just wins. He finds a way to get it done most times.
Just got back from the game and wanted to say the fans really came out in support of Chad today. Cheered when he took the field and there were signs such as 'REAL Jets fans support Chad'....and in answer to the other question, yes they were chanting 'woooooooooooody' during the Chrebet ceremony.

It's because most people don't watch enough football. It happens.
 :bye:  :hot: Did you watch today?Chad has had a decent career VS Miami and Vs mediocre teams..... NOT today though...No excuse for those INTS today.
He was 32/38 with 290 yards and a TD and INT before the last pass today. Compared to how the rest of the team played (Thomas Jones 12/35, making Edwards look like Marino, and a short FG missed by Nugent), I'd say Pennington was the least of the team's problems. The last INT was bad, although I'm not sure the first one was his fault.

He hung Cotchery out to dry on one.... Edwards put his WR's in position to make plays...The Jets wrs have to wait for the ball and hope they don't get killed...Jones needs more than 12 carries PERIOD... This was a beat up Buffalo defense the Jets should have pounded Jones all day... Jets offense was shut out in the 1st half.... And as even Chad said, the Buffalo defese was basically a prevent, bend but don't break, all day - I don't even think he was too impressed by his STATS. The Bills handed him that and some of those completions went for little gain.Chad said that last ball he was throwing away  And that other INT he saw the DB jump the route, still threw it but tried to "push it outside where the DB couldnt' get it"... OH PLEASE....I'd never pull an old game thread like this but, I took offense to someone alluding to people "Not watching the game".... There's plenty of experts out there that watch the games that think Chad's limitations could keep him from beating the better defenses in the league, make it a bit easier on a defense to crowd the line and puts his Wr's in horrible situations.. That's a completely legitimate OPINION to have.People can be on either side of the debate and I stated that Chad should still play and that Chad is a tremendous teacher for Clemens.... But, I think it's rude childish and assinine to come here and post that people don't watch the game....This game just made me puke, yeah I watched.

The game was miserable, to be sure.Is your comment about the first interception based on your opinion or what Chad said? I haven't seen his post-game comments yet.Pennington's in the top half of starting QBs in the league. People that talk about benching him all the time are crazy, IMO. Maybe Clemens will be a top 10 QB, but it seems unlikely to me that he'll be one immediately. Jets are more likely than not to be worse with Clemens in, so I think it is a crazy opinion. Why do you think all of the Jets players lover Pennington? Do you think that means something?

Yes, that was from the Press conference - he said he tried to throw it away.....I'm sure the players love Chad, he's got unmatchable Fire and work ethic and pours his heart onto the field every time he's out there practice or game....I also think the players watch other teams and just wish every once in a while the could catch a pass that's a rope where they can do something with it and I'm pretty sure when Chad throws up a concussion ball where their careers are at stake, they mumble a little somthing under their breath.Damn even on the dinks over the middle to Jones he has to float up there.. I Swear I could rifle it in there better sometimes....... I don't know maybe on TV if I reared back and threw the ball 7 yard to Jones it too would look like a lollipop :pickle:

I think the receivers love playing with him. He throws the most catchable ball in the league and is one of the most accurate QBs in the league.
