Week 3 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Kevin Curtis on the bench, not too worried about this one. who knew?

But ... I plugged in the Detroit Lions defense at the last moment, thinking they could have a better showing than the Bengals. -0.1 points already. I mean, Philadelphia has looked horrid for 2 weeks, and with a possible injured Westbrook, no way they have a good day today ...

Son of a #####!!! Last week I left Cotchery and Bruce on the bench. This week I leave K.Curtis on the bench! Still lookin' good for the week, and Palmer/C.J. bailed me out big time last week, but 50 pts /week on the bench won't fly long.

I was seriously stuck on DeShaun Foster vs Curtis at 11:53, and decided to go with the "safe" option and let Curtis prove that he deserves it... the rest is history, possibly along with a W...

How can you start Curtis though? McNabb has never really favored a single WR except for TO that one year. I won't be starting him next week. I want to see if he can keep it up. I'm pretty sure that he will be facing the #1 CB or a double team all game next week....

God I am really getting sick of this hobby. The one hard and fast rule is supposed to be draft Colts players. Thus far, manning and addai are the only reliable contributers.

I had him starting ahead of Cotchery this week because of Cotch's health, when I read he would play this morning I swtiched them out.

I wish I had slept in this morning.

It seems like Maroney is getting 6 yards a pop he drives them to the 3 and brady Qb sneeks and fulmbles later he gets them down again at the 2 min warning evans is in there on 1st gets stuffed then moss catches a 3 yarder. I cant watch no more..

benched McNabb for VYoung at 1250est this morning after reading a report about how his teammates don't like him and i got worried they may call it a season and lay down on him so mgmt would replace him

LOL

(at least guy i'm playing has Curtis on his bench)

BLECCH. This guy in one of my leagues bet me $50 that LJ wouldn't get 1200 yds rushing this season. I thought that 1200 yds from LJ was a sure thing, even with their dilapidated OL, now I'm having regrets.

SHOW ME SOMETHING!

Top this you whiners:

I started LJ (of course - always start your studs!)

I started Holt (of course - always start your studs!)

I started Bulger - over McNabb (of course - always start your studs!)

I'm playing vs Kitna and Roy Wms among others.

I started Cal Johnson who got hurt.

jeebus

I started the exact three you did.

gotta love when ****heads like Ronnie Brown decide to show up and do a Marshall Faulk/Priest Holmes impersonation. Sure he'll follow up next week with his usual crap game when he's not in my opponent's lineup... :goodposting:

Left 50 points and counting on my bench for WRs (Boldin and Mason), drank the Koolaid and played Curry and Berrian...we'll see if they can even come close to my bench warmers..... :goodposting: :lmao:  :wall:

Yeah MIN has a great run D etc etc - but this is beyond ridiculous and KC offense is beyond ugly. I can't afford to fire sale LJ now because I'd be lucky to get a backup PK for him, but the odds of him starting for me this year are about the same as the odds of winning the lotto. Run it up the middle again Edwards, you're averaging less than 2 YPC with that brilliant strat :goodposting:

lol @ me drafting LJ because I want "one of the top RBs"

Jumping the gun? You think? I don't. After 1 even 2 games, OK. But great Ds or not, this is beyond ridiculous and KC offense is beyond ugly. Run it up the middle again Edwards, you're averaging less than 2 YPC with that brilliant strat  Does anyone really think he'll be worth a start even as the Ds get easier?

lol @ me drafting LJ because I want "one of the top RBs"

PS this isn't a "week 3 vent," this is the idea of giving up on LJ for the season. Isn't that allowed to be discussed?

Week 1 Burress on the bench - 41 pts

Week 2 Edwards on the bench - 41 pts

Week 3 Boldin on the bench 45 pts

I give up

Thanks Bulger, your -1.36 points is just what I need to win this week  :goodposting:

Also sat McNabb for Delhomme  - here is hoping jake has a great game.

LT, SJax and LJ are stinking up the joint.

If I could do it over, I'd rate the top 3:

Westbrook

Addai

FWP

Those mid-round drafters really got a good deal on these guys this year.

I love seeing Kevin Curtis, whom I DROPPED in 2 leagues, going off like this.

At least I was able to snag him again in one of them this afternoon. but he'll probably never do anywhere near this well again.

McNabb benched for Romo...Might not kill me, but I certainly dont see Romo getting 4 and 400

Starting LJ over Driver. Made same decision last week, same results this week. LJ's is on my bench for the next 4 weeks unless he really shows me something.

Granted, it appears I should still win this week thanks to ADP and Roy-W, but my opponent has half his players still playing right now

Jeez, I am so glad I got to go up against Ronnie Brown and Brian Westbrook today. That was fun.

My team:

56.78 Points

Brown/Westbrook combined:

24.00 4 Rushing TDs

2.00 1 Rushing 2 Pointers

12.00 2 Receiving TDs

8.88 222 Rushing Yards

8.40 210 Receiving Yards

55.28 points

The rest of my opponent's team:

6.76 Points

So to summarize Brown/Westbrook combined:

6 Touchdowns (Rush/Rec)

432 Yards (Rush/Rec)

1 2-Pointer

Harrison + Holt == 11 pts ??

Are you kidding me? My #1 and #2 WR are barely averaging double digits? :goodposting:
