I picked Derrick Ward off the WW in every league I'm in (6 dynasty leagues) on Thurs before Jacobs got hurt. This week I made the following trades. Also, I don't own Jacobs in any league.

Fantasy Legends League - I traded Ward and James Jones for Romo and a 2008 2nd rd pick

Fantasy Legends II - I traded Ward for Anthony Gonzalez

Fantasy Legends III - I traded Ward for Mark Clayton

I still own Ward in 3 leagues, MOX 1, Champagne Classic, and HyperActive League.

Have you traded Ward this week? Would you rather keep Ward instead of trading him?

Have Ward in 2 leagues..asked the owners of BJ if they wanted to trade for him, this was not offical trades yet just message sent to them by me. So far no reply. Might just ask anyone now if interested. I'm pretty set with my RB's need a nice WR 2 tho.

You got some great value for Ward. That first trade is robbery IMO.

You got some great value for Ward. That first trade is robbery IMO.

Actually, the Romo trade didn't hurt that owner so much because he also has Brady and is weak at WR.
 
3 way Trade: I traded Ward to the Jacobs owner for David Carr and DeAngelo Williams. I then traded Carr to the Jake Delhomme Owner for Vernon Davis to cover my Antonio Gates bye week.

In the end I traded Ward for Vernon Davis and DeAngelo Williams. Not bad IMO for a RBBC Player. :) :(

Ward and Ben Watson for Drew Brees and Witten. (He's a Giant's fan) I also gave him future consideration for Brandon Jacobs when he returns. :goodposting:

The best part is both owners I traded with are playing each other this week. They both needed the players I traded them to compete against each other. I just sat back and clicked accept on both offers and smiled. :hifive:

GOT: MJD

Redraft

GAVE: Ward / Alex Smith / Marshall

GOT: Plax / Branch / Roethlisberger

Still own him in 1 dynasty and 3 redrafts.

 
One of my dynasty leagues had two trades this week involving Ward. I am not involved in any of the trades.

Owner A gave RB Ward

Owner B gave 2008 2nd round pick + WR Patten

Owner B gave RB SJackson, RB Ward, RB CTaylor, + WR SSmith (NYG)

Owner C gave RB Barber, WR Edwards, RB Wright, + RB Anderson (immediately cut)

Owner A was the owner that got Ward off waivers.

Owner C owns RB Jacobs. Has injury issues with Duece, Jacobs, Ahman, and now SJackson. Wasn't expected to make the play-offs.

Owner B is 1-2 and looked headed for a quick 1-6 record if he didn't make trades. May still end up that way. I think he got too desperate.

He was a pre-season favorite for the Championship, but that could be fading fast without a stud RB.

 
Have Jacobs. Tried to pry Ward loose with...

James Jones (before week 2). Declined
Ladelle Betts or Aaron Stecker. Turned down.Owner sees Ward as the next Tiki and won't counter. Guess that's why they call it Fantasy Football.

Nope 2 Keeper. I do not know how I ended up with the team I have with Holt and Maroney as my keepers this year. I know I am a little weak at RB. However, if Kevin Jones gets rolling I will be set. :hifive:

Last week, in a 12-team redraft, I traded a package of Ward, Gates, and Santana Moss for Steven Jackson and Kevin Jones. Even after the injury to Jackson I'm feeling good about the deal.

Plus I used the extra roster spot to add Jeff King! :shrug:

 
I would not trade Ward in a dynasty format.

He will prove to take on Tiki's role with Jacobs the short yardage back in the future.

The kid has talent.

 
The Ward owner in my league took advantage of a newbie guppy and got Rudi Johnson for Ward. Our commish strongly considered vetoing it but since there was no collusion I believe he's letting it go through. I'm hoping that Kenny Watson has a huge week and that the Bengals go to a RBBC for the rest of the season because of it.

 
I traded Ward and Fitzgerald for

Reggie Bush and V. Jackson

BTW....I own Jacobs!

I traded Ward for Cotchery, he had Jacobs so it made sense to him, and Housh was on a bye so I needed help at my Wr spot.

 
Packaged him in a trade last week. So far it's in my favor. Lumped him with L. Jordan in exchange for McGahee/S. McDonald. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but I got over it during the OAK/MIA game! There's a few other dynasty considerations thrown in, but so far I'm very happy.

In a deep IDP dynasty I commish, I was surprised not to see an outroar when the Ward owner traded him for Calvin Johnson. Yup, Calvin Johnson. In a dynasty. I was :thumbdown:
 
Those of you that have both Jacobs and Ward, are you attempting to sell or playing wait and see? What are you getting/looking at for the two of them more specifically in ppr redraft??
