Game Thread W4 - Seattle v San Francisco (1 Viewer)

Trent Dilfer coming into game for 49ers (to start second series after a Seattle punt). Smith on sideline standing with a ball in his hands. He was trying to throw some passes. That hit (and crush) from Bernard may had done some damage. Perhaps a shoulder issue.

Good, maybe they can get a passing game going now.

Sadly this is going to be a rough game and season for gore, 11 in the box lol

 
Hasselbeck just hit a linebacker in the numbers. Ball dropped though. Alexander had a five yard gain on first, but looked like he was plodding along. Not explosive.

One hander from Branch to get a first down.

 
Who is in this series for QB? 3 runs on gamecenter tells me nothing

9ers go nowhere. Hawks get great field position again. If they dont start doing something with it soon, they will likely regret it.

 
Another Seahawks sack on third down. Both defenses look tough. Actually, Seattle's run game looks slow and 49ers pass game looks pathetic.

Seattle winning the field position battle because of sacks and a fumble.

Seneca Wallace with an end around pass. Looks like the Seneca Experiment is starting earlier than anyone expected. 3 plays lined up at WR, 1 nice reception, 1 run and an incomplete pass. Didn't see the run but I assume it was an end around that set up the pass try. Lucky to not have been picked. I expect now to see SW in there 5-10 plays a game. All 3 times he went in he got the ball.

 
I am getting the direct TV feed where they go from game to game so I am watching some of this. Seattle's D espcially the front four have played a lot better this year than they did last year and Hasselbeck is getting time. Seahawks still not executing on offense like I think they should but Branch has come around which is nice to see.

 
SF radio announcers are really getting on Justin Smiley calling for David Baas to get in the game. The color commentator said he's never seen anyone play this poorly.

Only time he stops Seahawks from getting by him untouched is by dragging him down. Poor play by the SF OL. Dilfer will be lucky to finish the game.
 
2 games in a row the DL has played well. Bernard is a beast today. Russell and Grant are light years above Boulware and Hamlin at safety. And possibly the best LB trio in the league. Peterson and Tatupu are all over the place.

 
If Morris had started instead of Alexander he might have had a 100 yard game. Alexander if officially a plodder now. I'm embarrassed to own him my home league.

 
Nice road diviion win for the Hawks. Tough game next week at Pittsburgh but this season is definitely going in the right direction.
