Game Thread W4 - Pittsburgh V Arizona (2 Viewers)

the only chance fitz has is with warner.. albeit the steelers d is the best the cards have faced, but leinart's mechanics are off and he isnt a decent qb this year

i love to watch Troy run. he's a tasmanian devil out there.

what's the over/under on the number of snaps warner gets before he's hurt by the mighty steeler D? i'll say 20.

Well, injury risk aside, Warner is clearly the better QB on that team from what I've seen in 3 games this season

Sepulveda is amazing. Might be looking at a perennial pro-bowler. Pretty good use of a 4th rounder if you ask me.

:lmao: I heard from a few locals that they were concerned with Matt's foot work in the offseason. At the time, I tossed that issue aside. It is very very apparent however now if you watch closely. It takes him awhile to drop back, then he is very very indecisive in his decision making (he's pumping on a very large number of his dropbacks).Putting the accuracy issues aside (and they apparent too), for someone you heard was the most NFL ready, he really does lack the footwork and time clock right now. (Hopefully he improves on these. Criticial that he does.) He is holding this pass offense back right now. They have too many weapons to be sputtering right now. I'm glad Whissenhunt has taken the step to involve Warner (because Matt has already more or less been annointed the face of the franchise....so he is put in a difficult spot). Based on merit this year, Warner should be starting right now.

Warner>>>Leinart so far. He went in with about 4 minutes to play in the half and got a couple of bad breaks on his two drives (Fitz fumbled a completion and the clock ran out on him during his second drive) but they still had a shot at a 52 yard FG at the whistle.

I don't think he's focused, that's all. Too worried about trying to play Hollywood pretty boy. A shame because he has the talent. He'll never be Carson Palmer, that's a lock.

A couple of days ago, Whisenhunt announced that if they turned to Warner again, he'd be a long-term starter (until Leinart proves otherwise). Arizona homers, what are your thoughts of Warner sticking and Leinart for the rest of the season?

:ptts: actually Whisenhunt said that he want use Warner with no-huddle offense ....never said Warner wil be a long term starter

Considering the defense the Cardinals are running, I don't think the Steelers are calling very smart plays here. Seems like short passes would break this D.

I take him for his word. He's a pretty straight shooter. If they made the move, it'd be a long-term thing.I'd be surprised if Warner became the starter. (Make no mistake, he deserves to be). Too much invested in Leinart. And at the end of the day, $$ talks.
