How do you figure? The ball was coming out before he was down. The ball was fumbled forward out of the end zone. Seems simple to me.

didnt go through endzone, out at 1.
it looked like he lost control before he was on the ground...the question is whether the ball was fumbled out of bounds or into the endzone. I'm not really sure, but it looked like it was fumbled out of bounds...also, Chad and Housh, 0 targets after two Bengals possessions.

Yeah, after seeing another review, the ball did seem to go out before the end zone. A different angle gave me a better look.

WTF? Why wouldn't they challenge whether the ball was fumbled through the end zone? Didn't challenging the ruling on the field that the player stayed in bounds basically become a lose lose challenge for the Bengals?
If the ref rules the player stayed in bounds: NE ball on the 2.
If the ref rules the player stepped out of bounds: NE ball on the 4.

Give them credit for the play fake. If Vrabel is covered well, and the Pats run the ball to his side, the RB likely walks in for the TD.

When they challenge the play that way, the refs look at the whole play. If they only challenge that it was a fumble, that's all they can look at. They basically got the refs to look at two things to overturn instead of one.

it's not like they ran some wacky play that no one has ever seen before. and it's not like that play is unstoppable. they run it 8 times a year or some ####. i blame the Bengals D more than credit the Pats offense.

I am not sure that was Morris. I think it was Faulk being misidentified by Tirico on the screen that was called back on the hold.Morris is obvioulsy back in, maybe Belichek wanted to fake them out

Oh. I thought you were talking about their record. 19-0 would be a perfect season, so 38-0 would be two.
