Game Thread W5 - Miami V Houston (1 Viewer)

Kubiack said he wanted to run in shortyardage situations, and gave the ball to Dayne on 4 straight plays inside the 2....TD Dayne !!

I hope the Texans win, but that ####### that stood over Green just now while he was face-down and motionless on the field should be thrown out of the game and fined heavily by the NFL.

Honestly - Trent Green blocked him at his knees - that could have very well blown his knee out - it bent back.Still it was very very poor sportsmanship.

I don't think he knew he was hurt badly and was pissed at Green for diving at his legs. I hope Green is OK as he dove at Travis Johnson's legs and got kneed in the head HARD...

My prayers go out to Trent right now, didn't look good.

Travis Johnson should be thrown out of the NFL though, I hope Ronnie Brown runs him over this drive.

Travis Johnson is a PUNK THUG! How do you taunt a fellow player who is literally unconscious?? Suspend this clown for the year.

Travis Johnson is it? The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty is going to be called, but more needs to be done here. VERY TASTELESS.
With Green's concussion history, if it is indeed a concussion, this could have serious implications for the rest of his season (and possibly career).

I do not think he knew Trent Green was hurt - he was reacting to being cut blocked at his knee- which could have ended his career.

Hopefully the Houston players have a "Code Red" in store for that little ##### Johnson at some point this week. Totally classless.

And he landed on his head after being flipped. I think I'll hold off on calling him a classless thug, not ruling it out, but I can see him being very pissed off at it and not knowing the extent of the injury.

 How does it make him a thug for yelling at a guy that "could" have ended his season. I really doubt he thought he was hurt. If he had known that Green was out I am sure he would not have done what he did.

No excuse. The block is legal and was effective. Travis saw him motionless on the groud too. So whether he "knew he was hurt or not" the player was still laying on the ground. In my mind, that is NEVER a time to taunt. On another note - Lemon now looks good. Is he worth a pickup or do we have to assume Beck will get some snaps too?

He did not know he was hurt. Plus what happens if Johnson's knee gets blown out for this cut block. I thought the refs were supposed to be calling those as well.It is a shame for Green, but come on, a QB trying to block a D-linemen is not a good idea.

I disagree. Technically, you're only supposed to be able to block below the waist in the imaginary "box" around the line of scrimmage. I really hope Green is OK, but that was a dumb move on his part...

So if Trent Green would have "Joe Theisman'ed" Travis's knee then that would have been fine.. Right.Did you not see his knee bend back - If he would have had his cleat in the ground (Turf) it would have been a very every bad injury. Trent Green is a really gutsy QB but he had to have known the danger of throwing that block. To answer your other question. Lemon is a solid pick up in a deep league.

my God, what in the world has gotten into Ronnie Brown?? that man is playing like a 2nd overall pick now. keep giving that kid the rock!

Serious question: Is Chambers playing? He doesn't even have a target.
I don't know because I don't have the game, but blame me. He was cooking until last week when I had to start him in place of Boldin. I'm a curse to Chambers, it seems.

Ronnie Brown is clearly a disappointment, doesn't have the will to succeed, is fat, and will be sharing time with uberstud Jesse Chatman when he's back from injury.

Making Ronnie's numbers more impressive is that he's doing this with a weak supporting cast. Imagine if the Fins actually had good receivers and a solid QB ?

I say Ronnie is legit. As legit as any RB not named Tomlinson right now.

The worst part about him is that most of that those of us that hung out at the FBG message boards often during the preseason were probably dissuaded from drafting him.

That's ridiculous. The block was a completely, 100% legal play. By your standards, the returner that the paralyzed Buffalo guy tried to tackle could have been hurt by the Buffalo guy leading with his helmet, so he should be allowed to get up and yell at him?
