Game Thread W5 - Jacksonville V Kansas City (1 Viewer)

Drew looking great today.
Drew has looked good most of the year. The o-line sucks, the play calling is iffy. That o-line used to get great push at the point of attack, I'm surprised they've looked so bad. With that FG in the RZ, they're probably the worst RZ team in the league (were 3rd worst). At some point you need to spread them out, actually pass the ball to a WR, and work mismatches MJD can create against LBs in the passing game. Del Rio just isn't a very good HC imho. They've had lots of talent, and almost always underachieve.

No one and I mean no one takes the life out of a game like Jax.

I should have listened to my own advice and benched LJ today. Jax has 2 of those 10 min drives every d*mn game....and half the time they dont even score a TD.

I hope people learn a lesson today. Many of the websites out there, this one included, had Larry Johnson as a good play and were ripping off the Jags yds per game which is in the bottom 3 of the NFL...HOWEVER, that number is so perversely skewed by the fact Tennessee ripped them up for about 275-300 yds in week 1. I can't explain why Chris Brown had 175 yds in that game but after seeing the Jags go and beat Atlanta, allowing very few yds rushing, and the marching into Denver and basically shutting down Travis Henry...I just am completely miffed why everyone was hot on LJ this week.

He has 7 carries for 9 yds and is once again going to have putrid numbers this week but was a top5 choice on all cheat sheets out there...just makes no sense and the fact people do not dig and really look at the game to game logs is silly.

people who have paid attention the last few weeks know that Jax has basically shut down the run outside of the Tenn game

I agree, but with most of that padded rankings comes in with the fact that 1) He is LJ2) Dont bench your studs(LJ is questionable on that this year)3) People will turn away if say...LJ goes off ala MJD and he is ranked 25th

Memo to LJ - you've won me two championships in two years my friend. If we go down this year, then we go down together. Carry on. :blackdot:

Stroud and Henderson were coming back from offseason injuries. The bye week really helped them (along with LB CLint Ingram).

Memo to LJ - you better find a good hiding spot you WORTHLESS SACK OF ####.Honestly WTF? JAX D is good but not THAT good.

I didn't watch any of the game, but from what I recall, MJD's final stats were pretty much the same as his halftime stats. If the guy was getting 9 yards per carry, why didn't they keep giving it to him? Did they mostly run Taylor in the second half? What happened to MJD in the 2nd half?

Drew got his normal touches in the 2nd half, he just didn't rip off a 52-yarder. Fred was doing fine, so no reason to cut his carries.
