Week 5 Bragging Thread (1 Viewer)

There is absolutely no way anyone could do a better job than me of picking the worst possible lineup every week to achieve a min low score week after week. I "rule all" - yknow like, I'm all, dude. :strut:

Oh man, I have been there...But this week..gotta brag a little...ADP on the bye, picked up K.Keith because Addai owner thought his guy was good to go..played him with confidence (LOL) and the Cards D with vikes bye..riding them with Romo and TO still to go to a nice 5-0 start in my big $ league. Bonus that my opponent was an LJ owner.

I picked up Jason Campbell (26), Kenton Keith (32), Ron Dayne (11), and the Titans defense (15) this week. I led my league in points this week.

Rather than brag, I wish to show gratitude. I owe a lot to the people who responded to some of my threads here though. I just signed up this week, but and I am already glad I did. I was a bit weary of both Keith and Dayne, but I played them with confidence.

My usual team in a deep keeper league I love playing in is Palmer, Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, Boldin, Addai, Maroney, Clark, Akers, and San Diego. I'm leading the league in points and have a 3-1 record. The second place team (also 3-1 and second in points scored) was my opponent this week.

Due to byes and injuries, I had to start Garrard, Roy Williams, Chambers, Andre Davis, McGahee, Lynch, Clark, Kris Brown, and San Diego. I was seriously concerned that I'd lose the league lead. With Lynch still to play for me and nobody to play on the other side, I have a 20 point lead.

Life is good.

I agree with the part about gratitude. I know there was a lot of multiple threads this past week re: Henry, Addai, etc.

But that's why we subscribe and those nuggets of info, though scattered, really paid off this week for some folks---like me.

Yep...life is good.

For now.

In my salary/keeper league I traded LJ during the first round for dudes 1st, 1st next year and Fitzgerald. I promptly drafted Turner with his pick this year. I'm now rolling out Kitna, SA, Maroney, R.Moss, Fitz, Megatron, Steelers D and Elam with McNair, Garrard, Turner, Rhodes, S.Young, Cooley and the Vikes D on the bench.

I'm 5-0 and have two 1st rounders next year. Dude who traded me is contending for the #1 overall pick, which would be mine. Hmmmm, McFaddin?

Kris Brown off waivers and Desmond Clark got me past my Wk 5 opponent with Boldin, Heap hurt and Lamont Jordan, Westbrook and Housh on the bench.

I wonder why the venting thread always has so many more posts..... could it be because bragging especially this year could only bring bad luck. This is a dangerous thread for anyone who believes in Karma. That being said ...... :boxing: :boxing: :banned: I can only hope my team stays relatively healthy 4-1 should be my record by this time tomorrow and only guy who has Really Really disappointed me on my team has been Bulger. Things could be worse, right Keys :scared: :excited:

Heading into tonights game down 71-48. He had T. Owens. I had M. Lynch and J. Witten. 2 pts for him, 30pts for me and a 78-73 victory! :goodposting:

that's living a charmed life, my friend

My opponent is a longtime friend and rival (diehard redskins fan nonetheless). He was right behind me in the division at 3-1. Being that I had Palmer, CJ, Maroney, and Westy unavailable this week, I decided to tempt fate. Knowing full well this would piss him off (and it was a good play anyway), I grabbed Jason Campbell to start interim. I also nabbed Kris Brown to fill a turnstyle at K.

Having to start in addition: LJ, Kevin Jones, Lendale White, Bowe, Edwards, Winslow, and Dallas D

to his: Favre (benched Romo), FWP, Fred Taylor, Burress, Galloway, TO, Shockey, Hanson, Colts.

80-69. He's now a game back. I told him that drafting all of those NFC East players would haunt him when it counts.

Still #1 in the division & league and the points leader in a points only league. 5-0 after a week in which I should've lost despite playing a weaker team. Santonio Holmes didn't play and I started him. Parker and Portis put up goose eggs (should've started Keith, doh!)... Thank god for picking up Greg Jennings and Romo getting me 2 TDs even tho that SOB just beat my Bills.. Always tough to have the guy deciding whether you win or not put up points against your favorite team :bye:

4-1 and top of my league.

Witten continues to be my highest scoring receiver and has won me 2 matchups.

5-0... 12 team keeper league. Went into the draft sans RB. Kept Gates, Smith, and Chad. Wound up drafting AP, trading for Ronnie in week 2 and Caddy-Pittman-Graham- Darby. Yuk.

The clock will strike midnight any time now. Gotta love it while it lasts!!!

Oh Happy Day!
