Brandon Marshall DUI (1 Viewer)

I dont think the NFL will take action. Chambers got a DUI (to my knowledge) this offseason and nothing came of it.

Before everyone does the usual moral pile on, lets get some more detail on this.

For one, I presume ALL the posters on here are angels, and have never driven after 2 or 3 beers. And sometimes more. Not right, but reality.

Second, let's see if this was a case of just over the limit or wasted - it certainly makes a difference to me.

That context will also contribute to decisions re: team and NFL discipline.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Here's the transcript from the field sobriety test:State Trooper: Ok, raise your right leg, tilt your head back and spell your name.Marshall: Whooooouuuuaaa!State Trooper: No no no, it says here it's "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" from the back of the throat.Marshall: No I mean, "Whoooouuuuaaa!" as in surprise and alarm. I'm losing my balanceState Trooper: Oh, you mean like, "AAAHH!"Marshall: Yes, that's it. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Ok so what's the WORSE that can happened to him if he's convicted here?
Pay a fine. I wouldnt be suspended from my job.
I mean what's the worse the NFL can do to him? Can they suspend him for multiple games and/or fine him?
If this is a first offense, I dont think there will be any suspension, and would be a game at worst. I don't recall him being in trouble before - did I miss something?ETA- Plus, we have a team where Henry is smoking a J on his way home from "work" to meet the mother of his future children and he is still playing. If there is a suspension, you'd think it would have to be by the NFL contract's terms.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, I think this guy may already be in the NFL Program.......so a suspension could be looming if convicted........

cant believe the trooper would arrest him after last nights game, support your team jeezzz! I'm sure he will get the case continued until season is over even if he gets convicted.

He was cited a summons and then released. Not held in the drunk tank. Why would they relase his ### right away if he was drunk??

ENGLEWOOD — Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early today, police said.

Marshall was pulled over in lower downtown Denver shortly after 2 a.m., police Lt. Ron Saunier said.

The receiver's arrest came hours after the Broncos defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-28 in Denver.

Marshall was issued a summons and was released.

Broncos team officials said they were aware of the arrest but had no comment.

Denver Post

Police pulled Marshall over at 14th and Blake streets. Details about the traffic stop were not available, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said. Marshall was booked into a detoxification facility for suspicion of DUI and cited, Jackson said.

"The average DUI can cost you $10,000 when you get one — and that's basically when you factor in your insurance going up, the fines and court costs and the classes that can be required," Jackson said. There were no details about when Marshall's court date was set.

Of course this would happen. I just traded for him. First Carnell Williams, next Ahman Green gets hurt right after a trade and now Marshall's gonna find himself riding the pine.

No, next up would be Donald Driver. Those are the 4 people I've traded for this year. Oh yeah, I'm trying to get Gore. I fully expect all these people to get hurt over the next few weeks.
