Chris Henry (WR) (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld et al. is reporting that Chris Henry is cleared to practice today (2 weeks early) which should have him set to go in Week 10 as Cincy's WR3. Since everybody and their mother will now be picking him up off waivers/fa, where do you think he ranks among WR in a re-draft? Just wondering if people envision him as a steady fantasy WR3 or as more of a match-up/injury-filler kind of guy.

Ironically, guy in my league has been rostering him all year (14-teamer) and just cut him. I own TJ in that league, so am putting in a claim to have Henry more as injury insurance.

I'd say moving forward, it's probably going to take him a few weeks to get worked back into the offense, but given that CIN hasn't really had any of the WR3s ripping it up, I'd think he could assert himself as a decent WR2, very good WR3 down the stretch.

Again, as a Housh owner, I'm more concerned what impact this will have on him (and CJ owners should be thinking same). It's pretty clear to me that TJ & CJ's huge start to the season has a lot to do with Cincy's total lack of any other threat at the WR3 spot, so they are seeing more balls than they were last year (of course, this is my perception and fact could actually prove it wrong :) )

From CBS:

Henry had a fantastic preseason and hopefully kept himself in game shape so that he'd be ready to contribute immediately to the Bengals. If you have the roster room, check your waiver wire to see if he's out there, and if he is, pick him up. When he returns, he'll be a No. 4 Fantasy WR with potential to be a solid No. 3, if not a No. 2.

Damn. I was hoping he would fly under the radar for a few more weeks. I had to snag him today so that one of our resident guppies didn't grab him.

So he will have 7 games to play? What do you project his stats to be? I am thinking 400 yards and 5 td's.

I project him @ 375 yards and 7 Td's

TJ lose 2-3 TDs , CJ lose 1-2 TDs, because of him. He is a short yardage reciever but can get open in the end zone from the games I saw of him. I had CJ last year and I was po'ed with Henry stealing touches....

He had a great preseason too...
