Pre game show showed the field wet- and said the players were saying the turf is very slick.

Does this downgraded Eli and receivers or vice versa?

I've seen it argued both ways, but I think a wet turf gives an edge to the receivers as it's easier to plan a cut (plant well and don't slip) than to make a quick, reactionary cut to follow the receiver (not plant as well and more likely to potentially slip) so it would upgrade Eli and his WRs.Now, if it's raining too hard rather than the turf just being slick, the offense may shy away from the passing game and lean more on the running game which would, obviously, downgrade Manning and his WRs.
 
God, does Eli Manning look like that kid from the 6th Sense or what? But I look for a big game from Jacobs with Ward out and a Dolphins team down on its luck.

 
What a joke of a call. Allen went into that Lunge white Jacobs was still up, hit him RIGHT as he hit the ground.

Way to make us look like a buch of p****ies to the Brits.

 
Never seen Ginn play in th NFL before and I know the field is wet and slick, but he looked slow and afraid to get him on that return.

 
Chatman looks good, but until Lemon throws the ball downfield (and has the time to), he's going to be stuck grinding out tough yards.

Anybody watching? Will that Shockey 6 yard gain stand as a rush...or will it be changed to a catch + 6 yards receiving?

 
Field is definitely wet. I think Chatman slid an extra 3 yards down the field after he got tripped up on that 10 yard run.

 
I agree with Moose, Chatman is playing his heart out. He's a far better blocked than I thought, geesh (if this game is any indication)he's up there amongst the best RBs at blocking....so impressed with his blocking.

I realize he's not an all world talent but he sure seems good to me.

The Fins Oline is playing this awesome Dline of the Gmen better than anyone I've seen. As usual (since Marino)the Fins need a STAR QB but they've got some foundation to build upon.

I expect the Giants DL and Jacobs to show us in the 2nd half that they wore down this team but the Fins have played well.

I think he was, but yet I expect him to get burnt pretty bad on a play or two in the second half. Know what I mean?Aside from coverring Moss in a championship game, I can't recall too many when Allen was good for a whole game.
 
We all knew going in that soccer was huge there but even still I think it's a bit weird to see how excited they get for punts and kicks.
