Game Thread W8 - Houston V San Diego (1 Viewer)

Schaub starts, Green inactive.

Couple of early short catches for Jacoby Jones and one for Andre Davis....

ETA: first down strike to Walter, Schaub 4/4

If we could just stop calling the screen play that would be great. It amazes me how well Green Bay ran it when Sherman was there and we can't run it worth a crap. We're also great at falling for it on defense. This is going to be a looooong game....

 
Houston homers.....what's the story on this Ichymandoo guy? Looks like he has good vision and power for what little I've seen of him so far.

just looked him up -- Adimchinobe Echemandu -- 4 years in the league? Never heard of the guy.

 
Houston tries to punt, the snap flies over the punter's head and into the end zone. The punter runs down the field, and has a very easy opportunity to fall on the ball for a safety. Amazingly, he manages to "fall wrong", and completely misses the ball. You have to see the replay to fully comprehend the punter's futility. San Diego recovers without a struggle for the TD.

Texans punting on about their own 15 or 20. Snap is wayy high, goes back into the end zone. Punter turk goes back to get the ball....you'd think he has a couple options...either pick it up and try to get it out of the end zone, or just fall on it. He gets about 5 feet away from the ball, and with no SD player within 15 feet of him, he just falls over. :11:SD guy runs in and dives on the ball for a TD.
 
We added Echemandu this week and cut Gado. Never seen him play but he already looks better than Dayne (tough to tell, ANYONE looks quick when they spell Dayne). Think he spent time with Oakland this year and was with Cleveland in the past, not sure. Possible sleeper for anyone desperate. Green's always hurt or can't breathe and Dayne really sucks, he's looked decent so far today...

LT starting to put a hurt on us....

 
Rivers has got to be a little upset that Gates didn't score that third time he tossed him the ball.
